Woohdy and Lurker Through???

VFL DRAMA ALERT: Trouble for Unhinged Users??

It looks like Lucky’s claim that his team won’t be making any transactions this season is already in jeopardy. There are rumors swirling that Lucky’s second line may have already decided to go their separate ways. His second line consists of CG Lurker, Woohdy and Brisket. Woohdy is the best running back in the league and he knows it. Woohdy also wants a qb that is going to prioritize wins over their own stats. Lurker has shown that he can call a run-heavy offense in the past, so it’s unclear exactly what the issue is. Hucci called Lurker a “game manager” and said his gameplan consisted of “Pounding the rock and keeping the defense in the box” and that sounds like a good fit for Woohdy. Check out the rest of Hucci’s analysis over at: https://primetimeleagues.com/vfl/2023/08/18/the-unhinged-users-team-analysis-can-luckyy-make-another-run/.   I reached out to Woohdy for a quote for some clarity on the situation:

Why would you write an article about this”

–

Fair enough, and woohdy raises a good point, is this even article-worthy? Was Woohdy’s trade request in chat all just a joke? Was this just an elaborate ruse from Woohdy and Lurker? Why would they do this if it was? To answer that, we were going to have to get the full story and we clearly weren’t going to get it from Woohdy. So what about Lurker? When I reached out to him, Lurker was in disbelief. “[I] Can’t believe woohdy would make such a comment” followed immediately by three “sob” emojis. If he wasn’t upset, he was doing a pretty poor job of showing it. In the end, however, it sounds like Lurker was going to be fine with whatever happens.

“no need for me to be mad when lucky will more than likely trade me this season”

                                                              -CG Lurker

This investigation was getting nowhere, we had to go to the head honcho and Lucky was kind enough to provide us some answers. I wanted the whole story from him. Was this a real trade request? Was it indicative of any issues on the team? Lucky denied any trouble on the team and assured us that Woohdy and Lurker were just joking around with each other. He acknowledged that there were some big egos on the team, but that came from people being competitive and wanting a ring.

“Woohdy with lurker and brisket will have a very successful season this season.”

                                                          -CG Lucky

So there we have it. All is well in LuckyLand, if its king is to be believed. The trade request was a joke. Woohdy, Lurker and Brisket all still want to play together. This should be an elite line, with three elite defensive users, if they can manage to find a good balance on offense. I’m exercising caution however; Woohdy is going to expect greatness and Lurker’s Madden 23 QB statline of 29 TDs and 39 INTs isn’t going to get it done. This is one of the early lines to watch in the VFL. If they suffer a big defeat early, it could break the chemistry on the line and could lead to those transactions that Lucky has said he didn’t want to make.

We’re Taking a Morning Blunkey – A Blunkey Interview

Blunkey blunkey blunkey, one of the only owners I was not looking forward to interviewing. He shows up and plays yes, however, he is probably the most popular bad troll I’ve ever met. He even has an emoji for him in the chat 💩. All jokes aside he’s not that bad once you get to know him sometimes he’s actually kind of funny. But let’s pick this dudes brain a little before the season starts!

Q: I know being an owner in the league has been something you’ve wanted for a while now. This being your first time to be an owner in the league what strategy do you have to prove you deserve to be an owner?

Blunkey: “The Strategy Is To Match Myself Up Against the Tough Opponents And Give the easy opponents to my 2nd line QB.”

Q: Seeing how the league is changing what are some things you like and/ or dislike about the direction it seems to be going?

Blunkey: “I think adding a buy in for owners to the league was the right decision. But they shouldn’t of made it where you bring your own roster. Less players will have opportunities to play since everyone already brings there own roster.

Q: How did you hear about the VFL and what advice would you give to newcomers in the league?

Blunkey: “play your game”

Q: For me the VFL has been appealing because I meet a lot of new people who have a common interest in madden. Has there been anyone you enjoy being around you met that you wouldn’t have without the VFL?

Blunkey: “Awesome VII was someone I met in the VFL. He was someone I talked to everyday regardless if we were playing madden or not. Unfortunately he passed away in a car accident. I never met him in person but that was my dog.

Q: What is your vision this season? Do you think you can compete with owners like ebok and tmo?

Blunkey: “Winning MVP, QBOTY are all awards I’ll aquire but the trophy is really what we have our eyes set on. Ebok and Tmo should have a good season but nothing my team won’t be able to handle

I would have liked to ask another question or two but blunkey refused to answer anymore Questions, I guess he must be busy getting dropped in a toilet somewhere, anyway, best of luck to blunkey and his team in the upcoming season

The Unhinged Users Team Analysis – Can Luckyy make another run?

Luckyy’s Unhinged Users are the second team to complete and we’re breaking down the players on his roster. This is a solid team, with some great users, that should be relevant into the postseason. The consistency of the QBs is the main concern, but there’s a ton of upside with Luckyy and Lurker. We’ve compiled the relevant Madden 24 stats for every player and @Hucci has provided some analysis for us!

  • Team Name: Unhinged Users

  • Owner: @CG Luckyy / CG Luckyy – (23-24)

Passing: 480-746, 64% Completion, 66 TDs, 63 INTs

Defense: 67 TFLs, 14.5 Sacks, 60 INTs, 51 PDEF, 4 FF, 14 DTDs, 1 KRTD

Hucci’s Analysis – Statistically Lucky is middle of the pack at QB. From my perspective though I think Lucky has the fastest read through progressions time in this league. Lucky may struggle here and there but he is always a hell game.

  • GM: P1: @CG LU12KER / CG Lu12ker – (23-15)

Passing: 246-387, 4528 PYards, 29 TDs, 39 INTs

Defense: 40 TFLs, 8 Sacks, 24 INTs, 14 PDEFs, 1 FF, 5 DTDs

Hucci’s Analysis – This guy is a game manager. Pounding the rock and keeping the defense in the box is the gameplan. He’s not gonna dot you up but Camaro is a tough go because of his ability to keep the ball and clock moving.

  • P2: @The Brisket / The Brisket49 – (15-19)

Receiving: 225 Rec, 4,457 Yards, 19.8 YPC, 28 TDs, 564 RAC

Defense: 18 TFLs, 13 INT, 6 PDEF, 5 DTDs

Hucci’s Analysis – Brisket is a solid DC and a serviceable wideout. If he’s rocking the 3-3-5 wide still he might be hell because it is very powerful this Madden.

  • P3: @The Accountant (CPA) / The Accountant 28-17

Rushing: 291 Attempts, 1867 Yards, 6.4 YPC, 16 TDs

Receiving: 48 Receptions, 785 Yards, 16.4 YPC, 3 TDs, 303 RAC

Defense: 197 TFLs, 50 Sacks, 2 INTs, 1 PDEF, 1 FF

Hucci’s Analysis- Hands down one of the best DL users in this league or at least he was    in 23. With how easy the pass rushing is this year I look for Accountant to be a force

again.

  • P4: @CG A1phas / CG A1phas – (9-21)

Rushing: 116 Attempts, 491 Yards, 4.2 YPC, 2 TDs

Receiving99 Receptions, 1508 Yards, 15.2 YPC, 10 TDs, 110 RAC

Hucci’s Analysis – I haven’t seen alot of game film on Red Hour/Alphas (no disrespect). He has played with some pretty good players before so I assume they must see talent there or he wouldn’t be on the squad.

  • P5: @All Time Rushing Leader / Woohdy (30-13)

Rushing: 600 Attempts, 5516 Yards, 9.2 YPC, 2 TDs, 4 FUM

Receiving: 70 Receptions, 834 Yards, 11.9 YPC, 10 TDs, 462 RAC

Defense: 54 TFLs, 15.5 Sacks, 36 INTs, 41 PDEF, 13 DTDs

Hucci’s Analysis – I’ve been saying this since my season with the Chiefs, Woohdy is the best back in this league. Long before he lit up the stat column I knew he had great stick. This game being is a run heavy game and will highlight his skills. His attitude has been his only negative. Otherwise Woohdy is a phenomenal player.

  • P6:sub: @GrandpaWarpath / FTK Warpath (4-9)

Passing: 73-154, 47% Completion, 7 TDs, 25 INTs

Defense: 9 TFLs, 3 INTs, 2 PDEFs, 1 FF

Hucci’s Analysis – Warpath has always been one of the chillest people in this league. I have known him way before this league and he has always been a good teammate. When I hopped to PS4 he was a great ambassador for their community and welcomed me. I am appreciative of that and can’t wait to watch him play again.

  • P7:sub: @CriticalTelos💍💍 / Critical Telos (24-18)

Rushing: 423 Attempts, 2897 Yards, 6.8 YPC, 35 TDs, 1 FUM

Receiving: 63 Receptions, 922 Yards, 14.6 YPC 5 TDs, 385 RAC

Defense: 93 TFLs, 35.5 Sacks, 30 INTs, 19 PDEF, 1 Safety, 9 DTDs, 1 KRTD

Hucci’s Analysis – Telos has always been a solid RB. Winning a few awards at the position. Just like I said with Woohdy, I expect Telos to put up solid numbers because running the ball is very powerful this year.

Beachmode Owner Interview

Beachmode has been in the league for a few seasons now, he always brings a lighthearted attitude to chat and he always brings a line to play.  I personally hope we get more people like beachmode into the league. He rarely talks trash and shows up to his games to play!

Q: You’ve been an owner in the past and I can say watching how much you progressed as a player from first season of madden 23 to the last was astounding! What’s your strategy being an owner this upcoming season?

A: “My main strategy is to build a team with chemistry and with users that are very active. I’m not one to take FFs so I want to make sure that streak continues”

Q: Being on your team one season I know you like to play to have fun, do you think some of that goes away and it becomes more competitive now that money is involved?

A: “Being competitive is fun. I just don’t like egos. I like the money aspect because it makes owners take the league seriously and now that they can bring their own teams all the excuses get thrown out the window. Money down makes for more activity because of the incentives.”

Q:  For me the VFL has been appealing because I meet a lot of new people who have a common interest in madden. Has there been anyone you enjoy being around you met that you wouldn’t have without the VFL?

A: “There has been a lot of people I have definitely met in my time with the VFL. Lucky was the first owner to give me a starting role in the VFL and I thank him a lot for that opportunity and introducing me to users like Jacc, redhour & midnight who are always chill dudes to play with. I am fairly active in the CFM community so it was really cool to broaden the connections within the madden community.”

Q:  I see your team is pretty full already at the time of this interview, do all of your guys share a common goal of no egos and being competitive?

A: “I believe my team is definitely full of similar minded users. We want to win, but ultimately we want to be better every game. This team will always be there to run scrims and improve their craft with one another. I think the users on this roster will make each other better. This will be the first season I really have a GM with experience that will be there to help every step of the way and I can’t tell you how good that finally feels.”

Q: 5. How did you hear about the VFL and what advice would you give to newcomers in the league?

A: “I have been in leagues with Brownies, HuskyNuts, DirtyFalcon, Scalymangish for years and that group pulled me in. I would say for any newcomers is just go do your thing and be open to criticism. The community wants you to succeed even when the chat doesn’t always seem it.”

Q: How would you describe yourself to people who read this that do not know you well?#datingquestions

A: “I am very competitive, but also a very chill guy. I don’t quit no matter how bad things seem.”

Thank you Beach for your time and great responses! Best of luck to your team this upcoming season!

Top Ten Teams for Season 1 of the VFL on Madden 24

Team Selection is going to be a completely new, dynamic system in the VFL on Madden 24. VFL teams are going to be able to freely select the NFL team they want to use in each game, and matchups are going to be more important than ever. Here are the teams we think will be the most used in Season 1 of the new VFL.

1 – Chiefs

There are five 99 overall players in Madden 24 and the Chiefs have two of them in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Players like Kadarius Toney, MVS and Isaiah Pacheco form an elite, and very user friendly, supporting cast around their two superstars. The offensive line is very good, Chris Jones is 96 overall and the defensive backs are very fast. The Chiefs should be one of the most contested teams in Season One.

2 –  Bills

This might be a controversial spot, but the Bills might be one of the strongest teams in Madden 24. Josh Allen is one of two QBs who have access to the diving throw animation. This animation was elite in the beta, and it may make the Bills an elite offense. The defense lost a big piece in Tremaine Edmunds, but their offensive line should be improved over last year.

3 – Chargers

Another team that was a staple of Madden 23, the Chargers brought back all of their core offensive pieces (including Donald Parham Jr.) and should be solid again in Madden 24. Kahlil Mack has taken a steep drop in rating, but they added Eric Kendricks so the defense should be fine.

4 – Jets

The J-E-T-S are finally relevant again baby, let’s go. Gang Green added about 15 former Packers and most of them are good in Madden. Aaron Rodgers is only an 86 overall, but I’m sure he’ll still have the best throwing animation in the game with a few great superstar abilities. This team is going to be really fun to use.

5 – Bengals

Really solid team, but they’re also really boring. Joe Burrow doesn’t have the throw power of the other QBs, it’s only 87, and Ja’marr Chase doesn’t have the amazing physicals you’d hope from a high overall receiver. They didn’t make any major additions in the offseason and they lost Jessie Bates, so this isn’t going to be as good of a team as last year. The Bengals should still be a top-5 team, however, because of the falls of Green Bay and Tampa Bay.

6 – Eagles

I’m guessing this will be the lowest spot the Eagles hold on our Team Power Rankings. This team is full of cracked players. Jalen Hurts is massively overrated, they retained almost all of their important players and they added some rookies that have some ridiculous physical attributes.

7 – Dolphins

Tyreek Hill is the best offensive weapon in the game and is really the only reason this team is in the top-10 at all. Tua is still very mediocre, but the defense is very solid and will add 97 overall Jalen Ramsey once he returns from a torn meniscus.

8 – Ravens

Lamar Jackson is still Lamar Jackson and his supporting cast is the best its ever been. This team should be regularly used in Madden 24, especially for QBs who know how to use scrambling QBs.

9 – Browns

I’m not sure how the run game will play in Madden 24, but I believe that Nick Chubb will be able to succeed in any environment. Deshaun Watson is a scrub, but they kept their core intact and added a few big names like Za’Darius Smith and Juan Thornhill.

10 – Patriots

You may be thinking that I’m just throwing the Patriots on here because I’m trying to fit all four AFC East teams on here, but the Pats might legitimately be the fastest and tallest team in the game. Tyquan Thornton is 6’2 with 96 speed, and they added two rookie CBs that have 95 speed in Ameer Speed and Isaiah Bolden. Speed is 6’3, Bolden is 6’2. Add them to 6’1, 93 speed Christian Gonzales and the Pats may be a surprising team in Madden 24.
