Ebok’s Team Analysis

An article by @SixthMallard and @PORK

The first team to be officially completed for the first season on Madden 24 we decided to do a deep dive on the stats and abilities this team has! Ebok obviously has the ability to build a strong team and this season does not look any different. Without further ado here’s our first full team for season one of madden 24!

Team Name – DCU

Owner- eboKtsoP / @eboKtsoP

Passing – 506 Completions, 810 Attempts, 62% Completion, 101 TDs, 44 INT.

Rushing – 85 Attempts, 356 Yards. 4.1 YPC, 8 TDs,1 FUM

Defense – 88 TFL, 12.5 Sacks, 24 INT, 6 PDEF, 6 FF, 1 Safety, 3 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – Ebok returns to ownership, this time with a team he has created. Voted by the players as the #1 player in the VFL during madden 23, Ebok is known to be one of the toughest guys to face. Just looking at the stats, you can clearly see why he was voted one. To retain a 2.29/1 TD/INT ratio over 3 seasons is simply incredible. Combine Ebok’s amazing play and already clever ownership abilities with the new league structure and you’ve got potentially the most dangerous team.

GM / P1- I CPayne83 I / @l CPayne83 I

Passing – 345 Completions, 540 Attempts, 64% Completion, 59 TD

Rushing – 141 Attempts, 1465 Yards, 10.4 YPC, 10 TDs, 2 FUM

Defense – 30 TFL, 0 Sacks, 50 INT, 27 PDEF, 5 FF, 16 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – A known veteran of the VFL, Champ is known to be consistently a top guy. In fact he was a guy that was voted as the 12th best player this madden. Ebok actually said this about him when ranking him, “A locked in champ would be a top 5 QB/DB. If he won the SB with the Eagles he would’ve been bumped up on the list for sure.” Cleary Ebok is high on him and knew he was a guy he wanted as the other QB on this starting lineup.

P2 – Farah En Fuego / @Farah

Receiving – 290 Receptions, 5680 Yards, 59 TDs,19.3 YPC, 2039 RAC

Defense – 29 TFL, 2 Sacks, 19 INT, 5 PDEF, 2 FF, 9 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – The #20 ranked player of Madden 23, Farah is everything you can ask for in a WR/LB. Crazy to think Farah had a “down” madden and still is this high in the rankings. If he can return to his madden 22 self on a team like this. Watch out.

P3 – F34R Painkiller / @F34R Painkiller

Passing – 77 Completions, 153 Attempts, 11 TDs, 18 INTs

Rushing – 380 Attempts, 2877 Yards, 7.6 YPC, 32 TDs, 1 FUM

Defense – 267 TFL, 112 Sacks, 19 INT, 12 PDEF, 11 FR, 7 FR, 1 SFTY, 6 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – A versatile player that is primarily a RB/DL but can slide in at the QB, Fear is a perfect fit on this roster. Another guy in the top 25, Fear is at #15 on the list. Seems like ebok wont be using him at QB though saying, “I viewed RPO Painkiller as a COMPLETE SHITTER on madden 22 but this madden he was able to put together 2 good seasons with Chubb/Garrett & Mixon/Hendrickson. RPO Painkiller still sucks ASS at QB though.” I think Fear will do just fine on this roster and more than likely lead the team in rushing.

P4 – DRockNation2 / @darionkeahey

Passing – 484 Completions, 754 Attempts, 64% Completion, 64 TDs, 66 INTs

Rushing – 64 Attempts, 512 Yards, 8 YPC, 7 TDs, 4 FUM

Defense – 28 TFL, 7.5 Sacks, 23 INT, 34 PDEF, 3 FF, 5 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – Drock, we all know him, we all kinda love em, we all kinda hate how many times he pings us. A guy that led the league in passing last season and at times can be flashy. Not much more to say about em, he’s been playin with ebok and will fill his role here.

 P5 – Gabe iLy / @Gabe iLy

Rushing – 189 Attempts, 1356 Yards, 7.1 YPC, 15 TDs, 1 FUM

Receiving – 353 Receptions, 7031 Yards, 56 TDs, 19.9 YPC, 2363 RAC

Defense – 120 TFL, 32.5 Sacks, 41 INT, 38 PDEF, 7 FF, 12 DTDs

Pork’s Analysis – Coming in as the second highest rated guy on the team at #8, Gabe is a jack-of-all-trades. Ebok says it best, “Best RB & WR user in the league & had the best statistical szn for a DB ever. B2B champ.” Gabe is a great personality and fun guy to play with. He knows what he is doing at all times and knows to perform and win games. The peanut butter to Ebok’s Jelly, expect Gabe to be a top 5 player this year.

 P6 (sub) – Doc Holliday904 / @Doc

Rushing – 75 Attempts, 345 Yards, 4.6 YPC, 1 TD, 0 FUM

Receiving – 23 Receptions, 162 Yards, 1 TD, 7.0 YPC 99 RAC

Defense – 10 TFL, 4 Sacks, 1 FF

Pork’s Analysis – Known sub for Ebok, Doc is a guy always there when you need him. Versatile guy that at the end of the day just wants the best for the team. Excited to see what he can do.

 P7 (sub) – CrAzY EFFeCTzzz / @CrAzY EFFeCTzzz

Receiving – 236 Receptions, 5070 Yards, 50 TDs, 21.5 YPC, 1264 RAC

Defense – 81 TFL, 35 Sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF

Pork’s Analysis – Solid backup option in Crazy. Think he will shock some people with the way he plays and rounds out this “superteam”

Pork’s Team Analysis – A team with 5 top 25 players, 2 in the top 10, this is clearly a superbowl contending team. Ebok is back at it with another masterclass and going to be a team that people hate to play. Dont know if i see this team losing a game but if they do it’d only be 1-2. With that being said, good luck to DCU hope yall have a great season!

New Deputy Commish Interview

An Interview by Media Director @CG LU12KER

Koolaid was recently named a deputy commissioner and I’ve known him for a long time, I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to get to know him some and ask him a few questions about the upcoming VFL season and madden in general so some of the newer guys in the league can get to know him some or even if some people who have been here a while just don’t know Koolaid too well.

I’d like to congratulate him on becoming staff, as a former staff member myself I hope he is prepared for the tasks he will be faced with. I also believe he has what it takes to handle his new position and responsibilities well!

Below we have the questions and answers for the Koolwhip Island interview, hope you enjoy!

1. What was your main reasoning to becoming staff this season?

“I’ve always wanted to be involved in some fashion within the league. Whether that is being an owner or media I’ve always enjoyed having a role within the league. Also, I’ve been around for such a long time and have never really tried being a staff member so I just said fuqqqqq it, let me hit up the current staff and see if they are willing to onboard me. With my tenure/experience it was an easy decision to induct me and I’m eager to contribute as best as I can.”

2. What do you think you bring to the prime time leagues staff that others may not see?

“I have a lot of time on my hands as of recent, I’m able to answer any questions new players may have and be able to assist them get familiar with the discord and our website. I bring a mindset of wanting everyone involved and having their name/voice heard. I’ve already gone ahead and with my first order of business as staff created the FA pool spreadsheet to assist potential owners in finding players that they can recruit to their squad. Since I’ve played Madden for a long time, I feel I can be a good judge when it comes to determining new gameplay rules. We know what causes an unfair playing advantage such as looping/smoke screen streak and I’m ready to help staff figure out what rules need to be implemented for M24. I feel I’m someone who can easily track things, so during the season I will be able to track game times, post live stream links, provide reminders, etc, etc. Lastly, I will be blunt when it comes to decision making for ticket’s, FF’s, suspensions. I feel we’ve given the community too much leeway the past few seasons and there will be certain things we need to do a better job of cracking down on which I will assist with.”

3. With all these new rule changes to the league and madden having cross play now there’s a lot to be excited for, what would you say you are most hyped about?

“This new structure is a refreshing change which I hope will result in the league growing. I’m really excited for our numbers to go up similar to how they were during the league arena days. Who knows, we might even exceed those numbers! We get to see the level of comp PlayStation and PC players bring which I hope will result in a multitude of exciting games for the community to watch. “

4. What is your favorite NFL team?

“Hol hol up, we demmmmmmmmmm. Yea”

5. What team on madden are you looking forward to using the most?

“Honestly I’ll give two answers for this one. The first team I’d be excited to play with is the Jets because I feel they’re a team with a crazy amount of potential. You’ve got Sauce, D.J. Reed, Guidry (96 SPD), Amos all in the secondary who I would love to use in VFL games. You got Rodgers at QB with a ton of targets at WR and I’m also sure you could get pretty glitchy w/ Breece Hall (93 SPD, 92 ACC). The second team would definitely have to be the Ravens. I just want games where I can scramble a ton and make plays outside the numbers.

6. They say the high bullet is NERFED next madden, how do you think that will affect the league?

“It will affect the league such that OC’s in this league must learn how to adjust. This involves being able to have a successful running game, actually take the time to find good plays where the blocking isn’t janky. They must also start getting accustomed to throwing to the users. Going up against 3 users in coverage is not an easy feat and user WR’s can definitely become your most valuable asset. S/O Gabe I prob threw it up to him like 30 times in 6 games this past season participating in the 3FL. Those who adjust the earliest will be set up for success, those who have a history of only throwing to the CPU and relying on HB’s during tough times (I am guilty of this) I’m warning y’all right now to start adjusting your playstyle a bit”

Three-Way Play In?

WELLLLLLLLLL FOLKS

With one day left in the season we got another spicy play in game brewing. Personally, I think we should have a three-way play in between the 49ers, Vikings, Raiders KING OF THE HILL STYLE BABY. Just playing, I haven’t really thought of how that would work, I’m just being biased from how last season went (PTSD go crazy).

On a serious note, let’s see who will most likely end up in the play in this season. We have the Vikings and 49ers currently sitting at 15-15 and the Raiders at 11-22. I think it’s safe to say the Jags & Giants are no longer in contention (sorry Smit and Beach). The Seahawks were almost a given until they had a surge in the final week and are sitting at 17 wins.

My guess is that we will be seeing a Vikings vs Raiders matchup. For the Vikings, their top line is on IR while both the MUT line and Johnny’s line have been struggling in the past week. While the Raiders having been making a surge with crucial dubs by Sac and Lucky to hopefully attain that 8th spot.

If this does end up being the case, we will most likely see Userb, Red, Areis vs. Sac/Lucky. Regardless of what line the Raiders throw, I’m sure it will be an intriguing matchup for the league to witness. If the 49ers end up in the play-in, I easily expect to see the AP guys as they have been able to compete very well in the league and have solidified themselves as the 49ers Line 1.

It’s hard to determine the playoff seedings/potential matchups as teams are very close to each other in the standing but I expect tomorrow to be exciting, and it will be interesting to see the final standings.

Ebok’s Week 1 Power Rankings

Week 1 Power Rankings

1. Dolphins (6-3)
2. Cowboys (6-3)
3. Eagles (6-2) *
4. 49ers (5-4)
5. Vikings (6-3)
6. Cardinals (5-4)
7. Seahawks (4-5)
8. Giants (3-6)
9. Jaguars (1-8)
10. Raiders (3-6) *

Week 1 Recap:
– The 9ers shocked everyone by going 5-4 & they made great moves going into week 2. Can they become the dark horse to win it all?
– Vikings had a great week as well & stunned some people in the league.
– The cardinals are frauds…A lot of people are learning chinese this season.
– Another play in season for Koolaidz?
– QBs are scared to sling da rock?
– Is Breesuss the goat?

1. Dolphins (6-3)

Line 1
Ponchy line went 3-0 this week with wins over AceBoogs, Remix & AP. Was a bubblegum week for the 31.5 Mil line but theres nothin you can do about it. They played great this week & made the AP boys look like they belonged in the AFL again. Ponchy has been using Skyler Thompson over Tua due to throw power & apparently is working. I know Ponchy wont be available for week 2 unless Beaste is able to move around games so this line might have a hard time winning next week.

Ponchy- 39/58, 848 yards, 12 td, 3 int, 1 tfl, 1 ff, 1 fr
Nedly- 13 rush, 50 yards, 1 td, 23 tfl, 11.5 sacks
Realest- 38 rec, 844 yards, 12 td, 158 rac, 8 tfl, 4.5 sack, 6 Dint, 5 pdef, 2 Dtd

Line 2
Beaste went 2-1 this week with wins over Fig, UserB. He lost to THEREALKOBE. Beaste had a solid week but got DOMINATED by the line 3 of the EAGLES. Beaste is going to be promoted to line 1 qb for week 2. Will he be able to keep the ship afloat?

Beaste- 27/41, 565 yards, 4 td, 2 int, 9 tfl, 1 sack, 3 Dint, 1 pdef
Kyle- Real Busy
Beefy- 26 rec, 557 yards, 4 td, 190 rac, 1 tfl

Line 3
Rytzo went 1-2 this week with a win over Drock & lost to Hexied & Mallard. I watched this line play against Hexied & they faced cover 0 with no user help over the top & struggled to score. That should never happen when you have weapons like Tyreek & Waddle. Beaste is going to have to improve this line or try to move em if he wants to improve his odds at winning this season.

Rytzo- 17/26, 253 yards, 3 td, 6 int, 2 tfl, 1 Dint
Mamba- N/A
Rigs- 13 rec, 222 yards, 3 td, 45 rac, 2 Dint, 1 pdef

POTW: PONCHYSWAG
Shitter of the week: Rytzo/Call Me Kyle

2. Cowboys (6-3)

Line 1
Brady with the 3-0 week with wins over Gmen, Hex & RPO Painkiller. This line put up some solid wins this week & I don’t see them slowing down any time soon. Brady owns Hexied. “ngl @IR x Brady has the best defensive scheme in the league with the players he has. parsons in the middle is unstoppable” – Hexied

Brady- 22/33, 634 yards, 5 td, 1 int, 3 tfl, 3 Dint, 2 pdef, 1 ff
North- 34 rush, 158 yards, 5 td, 9 tfl, 2 sack
Dfeet- 22 rec, 634 yards, 45 rac, 4 tfl, 2 sack, 3 Dint, 6 pdef, 1 fr, 2 Dtd

Line 2
Hucci went 1-2 this week with a win over TP & losses to AP & xTH3B3HRxG3W. Hucci might be tryna take a page out of my book by going 1-2 week 1 so he can secure the 4 peat. Regardless i think Hucci should switch his playbook for this season. i dont think the saints playbook is a good fit for Dak. This line will win games regardless but if Hucci can get comfortable in a new scheme this team could be lethal.

Hucci- 30/60, 340 yards, 2 td, 6 int, 2 Dint, 1 pdef
Nate- 27 rush, 108 yards, 9 rec, 91 yards, 90 rac, 4 tfl,
Trey- N/A

Line 3
Remix went 2-1 this week with wins over Aceboogs & Koolaidz. They lost to Ponchy. Even with big wins over Ace & Koolaidz Remix is getting the boot for line 3 QB. Childplease will be stepping in & taking over. Child is a QB who can steal some wins as a line 3 qb so its not a bad roster move.

Remix- N/A
WRNZO- N/A
Bwall- N/A

POTW- Brady
Shitter of the week- Hucci

3. Eagles (6-2)*
Eagles still have a reschedule to play with the RAIDERS.

Line 1
Champ with the 3-0 week with wins over Aceboogs, Fixer & RPO Painkiller. Bubblegum week for the 28.5 Mil line but they got the job done. I didnt see any of the games but it seems like Champs has a good run scheme with jalen hurts. Accountant wanted me to note that they gave up 13 points all week. He must be the DCoty.

Champ- 21/34, 343 yards, 5 td, 2 int, 17 rush, 265 yards, 1 td, 2 tfl, 5 Dint, 1 pdef
Accountant- 10 rush, 21 yards, 3 rec, 32 yards, 23 rac, 14 tfl, 6 sack, 1 Dint, 1 Dtd
Farah- 18 rec, 311, 5 td, 96 rac, 3 tfl, 2 dint, 1 pdef, 1 Dtd.

Line 2
As of now TP is 1-1 with a win over Bhedden & a loss to Hucci. I saw some of the Hucci game & TP looked lost out there at qb. He could potentially end the week going 2-1 but He needs to improve if he wants to win the SB this season.

Tp- 11/25, 227 yards, 2 td, 5 int, 5 rush, 37 yards, 1 td, 1 tfl, 2 Dint, 2 pdef
Rusty- 16 rush, 71 yards, 2 tfl, 1 Dint, 1 ff, 1 fr, 2 Dtd
KingHigh- 10 rec, 220 yards, 2 td, 70 rac, 9 tfl, 2 sack

Line 3
Kobe went 2-1 this week with wins over Beaste & Alltheway with a loss to eboK. This might be the best line 3 in the league. Actually TP might get demoted to line 3 idk…but Kobe like to run the ball alot & control the clock & they play some decent defense. I can see this line having a positive record by the end of the season. Kobe LURKED beaste with Nakobe Dean…give him LBoty right now.

POTW- Kobe
Shitter of the week- TP*

4. 49ers (5-4)

49ers made some moves at the end of Week 1 to VASTLY improve the team. First trade was VictisHonor for BlkSup3rsayian & the second trade was a bunch of TC players for TMO. BLK has been wanting to play with TMO for a minute now so as long as they can gel on offense then this 9ers team will be solid. The AP boys did their thing by going 2-1 this week with wins over Hucci & Breesuss. Surprisingly Kwame played very good at QB & 2-0 or 2-1 on the week with wins over TMO & BLK. Bhedden might be the Howie Roseman of the VFL.

AP- 26/46/ 607 yards, 6 td, 3 int, 28 rush, 260 yards, 2 td, 26 rec, 607 yards, 179 rac, 17 tfl, 7.5 sack, 7 dint, 8 pdef, 2 Dtd
Telos- 70 rush, 472 yards, 5 td, 1 rec, 13 yards, 2 TFL, 5 Dint

POTW- Kwame
Shitter of the week- Bhedden*

5. Vikings (6-3)

Line 1
UserB with the 2-1 week with wins over Gmen and Beachmode & loss to Beaste. I’m still stunned that Johnny put 24 mil into UserB but they did have a dent week to start things off. Maybe Johnny will give em the TXjames treatment & let em play shitters all szn. Could be huge.

UserB- 23/42, 304 yards, 3 td, 3 int, 4 tfl
Red- 27 rush, 194 yards, 2 td, 5 rec 77 yards, 1 td, 23 rac, 11 tfl, 3 sack, 1 ff
Areis- 18, 227 yards, 2 td, 64 rac, 1 tfl, 4 Dint, 1 ff, 2 Dtd

Line 2
xTH3B3HRxG3W went 2-1 this with wins over Hucci & someone on the 9ers. They lost to Koolaidz. The rookie line was in a close game with koolaidz & hucci which is promising for the Vikings. Based off the stats it seems like they just give the ball to cook every play & let em Cook. This line will be the key is this teams success.

xTH3B3HRxG3W- 13/24, 165 yards, 2 td, 1 int, 1 sack, 4 Dint, 2 Dtd
Praying4DDA- 42 rush, 244 yards, 2 td, 3 rec, 31 yards, 6 tfl, 1 dint, 1 fr, 1 Dtd
savvyrican- 10 rec, 134 yards, 2 td, 5 rac, 8 tfl, 3 sack, 1 ff

Line 3
Alltheway757 went 2-1 this week with wins over Breesuss and Blunkey with a loss to THEREALKOBE. Another rookie line had a positive week for the vikings. Sure they beat 2 of the worst QBs in the league but a win is a win. Whoever the DC was for the Vikings made me not want to watch another game of Breesuss ever again. Stock cover 4 all game boxin him. Looks like Johnnywheels put on a show this week at DL.

Alltheway757- 28/44, 430 yards, 4 td, 2 int, 8 rush, -19 yards, 1 td, 3 Dint, 1 pdef, 2 fr, 1 Dtd
Shadow- 39 rush, 344 yards, 3 td, 3 rec, 17 yards, 6 rac, 1 Dint, 1 pdef, 2 ff
Johnnywheels- 25 rec, 413 yards, 4 td, 148 rac, 14 tfl, 10.5 sack,

POTW- Praying4DDA
Shitter of the week- UserB*

6. Cardinals (5-4)

Line 1
1-2 with a win over Rytzo & loses to Brady & Sacrifice.

Hexied- 24/46, 486 yards, 5 td, 3 int, 57 rush, 265 yards, 3 td, 1 tfl, 1 sack, 3 Dint, 2 pdef
Doc- 2 rec, 30 yards, 13 rac, 5 tfl, 3 sack
Boxing- 14 rec, 240 yards, 2 td, 34 rac, 1 tfl, 1 Dint

Line 2
3-0 with wins over BLK, Fig & THEREALKOBE. Bubblegum week.

eboK- 44/77, 1002 yards, 7 td, 5 int, 13 rush, 50 yards, 1 td, 6 tfl
Crazy- 8 rush, 20 yards, 3 rec, 28 yards, 15 rac, 9 tfl, 2.5 sack,
Gabe- 41 rec, 976 yards, 7 td, 379 rac, 20 tfl, 7 sack, 2 Dint, 6 pdef

Line 3
Breesuss dropped for drock. Can Drock turn his szn around after making willy & TMO upset???

POTW- Gabe
Shitter of the week- Hexied

7. Seahawks (4-5)

Line 1
Koolaidz went 2-1 this week with wins over xTH3B3HRxG3W and drock & a loss to Remix. Koolaidz didnt have a great week at QB but thankfully Tiger was able to put the team on his back this week. Tiger had a crazy 52 touches this week. Focusing on stopping tiger might be the key to success for beating this line. Koolaidz will more than likely pick up his production but until then its the Tiger show for line 1.

Koolaidz- 18/30, 276 yards, 1 td, 6 int, 10 tfl, 2.5 sack, 3 Dint, 1 pdef, 1 ff, 1 Dtd
Tiger- 52 rush, 290 yards, 3 td, 6 rec, 37 yards, 29 rac, 4 tfl, 3 Dint, 1 fr, 1 Dtd
Pork- 12 rec, 249 yards, 1 td, 87 rac, 9 tfl, 2.5 sack, 1 Dint, 1 Dtd

Line 2
BLK got traded so Breesuss will be takin over with Line 2. Breesuss, Jesse & Brisket. Who knows if Breesuss will get the job done. I could easily see a trade request or two poppin up at the end of the week.

Line 3
Woohdy hard carried this line this week to a 2-1 record with wins over Rytzo & Blunkey. He lost to Beachmode. I didnt watch em play but based off the stats Mallard just gives the ball to woohdy every play & prays he wins them the game. I’m starting to think Woohdy has a fetish for playing with QBs who will give him the rock every play. Another Seahawks line where u just have to stop the RB.

Mallard- 6/12, 130 yards, 1 td, 2 int, 11 tfl, 6 sack
Woohdy- 45 rush, 509 yards, 7 td, 2 rec, 16 yards, 10 rac, 4 tfl, 6 Dint, 3 pdef, 1 ff, 3 Dtd
Smash- 4 rec, 117 yards, 17 rac, 1 tfl, 1 sack, 4 Dint, 1 fr, 3 Dtd

POTW- Woohdy
Shitter of the week- BLK/Koolaidz

8. Giants (3-6)

The Giants had a dissapointing week. Aceboogs went 0-3, Lucky went 1-2 & Beachmode went 2-1. Lucky & Ace will have to step it up if this team wants a chance at the playoffs. 15 mil for aceboogs is insanity.

POTW- Beachmode
Shitter of the week- Aceboogs

9. Jaguars (1-8)

The jags went 1-8 this week with the only win coming from RPO Painkiller(maybe). Unless something magical happens i dont see their season being turned around. Maybe Smitty & Fig used up all their juice last szn.

10. Raiders (2-6) *

The raiders made a lot of moves at the end of week 1. They couldve gotten potentially much worse with these moves. Only time will tell. Drock got sent down for Rugga. Willy got traded for Clutchking. Then they traded TMO for training camp players. They also picked up Sin who is a 3FL guy to pair with Rugga. Rugga & all his 3FL boys say that the VFL is trash & they wuld dominate so it’s time to see if they’re really like that or not. If Rugga & is crew are demons then they should be able to carry this Raiders squad to the playoffs.

POTW- potentially Sacrifice
Shitter of the week- Drock

Ebok’s Post Bidding Rankings

Personally, I think owners fumbled the bag this season by thinking that they had to pick defensive teams. Owners should’ve been looking to do the opposite & snag up the best offensive teams to help separate their QBs from the rest. Anyone with defensive IQ this season can play good defensively since Set Feet Lead & Pass Lead Elite got banned (& Nick Chubb I guess). You’re going to see a severe drop in QB stats this season & a rise to RB & Defensive stats. I think whoever wins the SB this season will win because their QB’s found out how to properly utilize their offenses. I hope staff has a DC of the year award because I would love to see if it’ll be from someone who has a defensive team Ex. PHI, 9ERS, BAL. (Breesuss for MVP)

1. Cards

eboKtsoP- QB/LB $0 CrAzY EFFeCTzzz- RB/DL $500,000.00 Gabe iLy- WR/DB $1,500,000

Young Hexied- QB/DB- $9,000,000.00 Its Reebok- RB DL- $9,000,000.00 SBG Boxing- WR/DB- $9,000,000.00

Breesus- QB/DB- $500,000.00 T1 Anime- RB/DL- $1,500,000.00 Kuhrow- WR/DL- $1,500,000.00

Breesuss the SB MVP will carry this team to the promise land. (16-0 szn)

2. Ravens

IR X Brady- QB/LB- $0 Northzide- RB/DL- 3,000,000 Dfeetu44- WR/DB- $1,500,000.00

Remix o2- QB/LB- $500,000.00 WRNZO- RB/DL- $500,000.00 Xbehe- WR/DB- $500,000.00

Brady did a good job in securing one of the top 3 lines in the draft while also getting North & Dfeet. I could easily see this team finishing as the 1 seed but the line 3 is going to be a big problem for this team. Another concern I have for this team is can Brady & Hucci utilize Lamar talents? Brady & Hucci have always been pocket passers in their VFL careers so the switch up to a scrambler like Lamar might be the downfall to this team. (Also, the Ravens WRs suck in madden).

3. Eagles

l CPayne83- QB/DB- $9,500,000.00 DaAccountant#310- RB/DL- $9,500,000.00 Farah En Fuego- WR/LB- $9,500,000.00

Therealkobe522- QB/LB- $500,000.00 Salukivsn- RB/LB $500,000.00 Cflo80- WR/DL- $500,000.00

Although I have the Eagles at 3, they could’ve easily been #4 or lower. The reason why I have them above a team like the Seahawks is because I think the Eagles are deeper in terms on VFL Roster than the seahawks. Although i can see this Eagles team having a great season I don’t know if Champ or any of the other QBs are going to be able to sling da rock with Jalen Hurts like big daddy EBOK. The Keys to success for this team will be through running the ball & playing great defense. I can’t wait to see how these QB’s perform with Jalen… (I’m sure accountant is bricked up rn since he gets to use the Eagles DL).

4. Seahawks

SixthMallard940- QB/LB- $0 Xjesse33- RB/LB- $500,000.00 Smash#6090- WR/LB- $500,000.00

I think Mallard did an OK job with his draft. Koolaidz line will be able to win games, but I have concerns for the other 2 lines. BLK is a QB who NEEDS a scrambler. Geno Smith is not a scrambler plus he has low THP. BLK typically sits in spread 4 verts & QB wrap so unless he can dunk on everyone with DK, I can see this line struggling to put up points & some trade requests will pop up. I’ve never seen Mallard play QB, but he told me he sucks so…This season will come down to if BLK can get the job done or not for this squad…might be another play in type season for Mr. Media Man.

5. Raiders

Ohio did a good job in bidding by securing Drock & Sacrifice, but he fumbled the bad by spending 16 mil on PaidDough. Idk him maybe he’s an ABSOLUTE DEMON but if Ohio spent the rest of his cap on securing one of the Lines in bidding, then he could’ve put together a top 2 roster in the league. Drock, Willy & Tmo should be able to win games but I’m unsure if Drock will be able to put up numbers with Derek Carr. It might be another defensive szn for TMO & Willy (no shots at anyone). Idk what the other lines are but if Ohio can pair a DC with Sac, then that line should be able to be a solid line 2. Honestly though, this team might be the dark horse in winning it all due to the double EDGE THREAT ELITES. The DL users have the ability to HARD CARRY these games & wreck the game for the opposing QB’s. If Drock plans on feeding Willy, I would put him up for MVP considerations.

6. Raiders

The Giants being ranked 6th might be a shocker to most people but I think Beach did a fine job in bidding. He sold the bag by putting 15 mil on Aceboogs but even doing so this team should make playoffs. Lucky’s line will win you games & I’ve seen beach play a lil post draft & his line is lookin like a solid line 2/3. If Ace isn’t out there throwin dots to the DB then they should have a solid szn. Will Lucky be able to be a hard carry QB1? Guess we’re about to find out this szn.

7. Jaguars

Blunkey- QB/DB- $500,000.00 EvLeGrand- RB/DL- $500,000.00 AceBooGiee- WR/DB -$500,000.00

This season is either gonna go 1 of 2 ways for the Jags. Either a play in szn or a tank for Tua type of deal. Spending 24 mil on RPO Painkiller is an eyesore to look at. I had Smitty as a LOCK to snag up the Hucci line but obviously I was wrong. Maybe Smitty & Fig can conjure up some magic like they did last season on the Packers who knows, but I don’t see this team doing much this season.

8. Dolphins

PonchySwag- QB DB $10,500,000.00 TheRealest RB DB $10,500,000.00 Nedly0228 WR DL $10,500,000.00

This has got to be the WORST draft that Beaste has ever had. Even though I had Ponchy’s line locked to go to Miami or Minnesota I’m kinda surprised that Beaste didn’t learn his lesson about spending all of his cap on 1 player. Yes, he got an entire line this time around, but the rest of this Dolphins roster is very bad. If this was M22 Beaste we were talkin bout, then this draft would’ve been better but it’s not. Beaste has struggled on both Josh Allen & Tom Brady & I don’t see anything changing this szn. Hopefully Beaste can change that & pop off this szn but unless Ponchy’s line super hard carries I don’t see much of anything happening with this team this szn.

9. Vikings

Alltheway757- QB/DB- $500,000 Johhny Wheels- RB/LB- $0 SpaciousHorse60- QB/DL- $500,000

Spending 24 Mil on User B is a very bad look for Johnny after doing such a great job in securing TXjames & them last szn. Sure, this UserB line will win you some games, but they’re not Line 1 material in my eyes. I don’t know this DDA line maybe they are glitchy, but I feel like Johnny took a step back in bidding from last season. I could be wrong but I probably won’t be. I’m surprised that Johnny didn’t go after the AP boys or Ponchy…

10. 49ers

Swift AP- QB/DB- $2,500,000.00 Vermont AP- RB/LB- $2,500,000.00 Utah AP- WR/DL- $2,500,000.00 —

Bhedden – QB/DL- $0 Critical Telos- RB/DB- $2,500,000.00 Bwall3565- RB/DB- $1,500,000 —

Kwame- QB/LB- $500,000.00 Victishonor684- RB/LB- $500,000.00 Precutblowfish- WR/DL- $500,000.00

All though Bhedden snagged up the AP boys for 7.5 Mil the rest of this team is complete DIRT & they will end up missing the playoffs 100%. Maybe Bhedden will make a buddy deal with someone & move the AP boys before the end of the szn. This team still has 22 Mil in cap space…

KoolWhip’s Team Bidding Grades

TPBraves: Eagles – 5.5M
Grade: A+

I will give props to TP, I think he secured one of the top available teams this season for a very good price point. Overall, they have a balanced roster and we saw their true potential as the users on that squad last season were able to win a SB
through their strong defense and use of unique route combos to get players open. Although there were some concerns last season with the Eagles regarding Hurt’s arm and high bullets, TP is at an advantage with the teams that were banned this season.
I see him easily being able to have a successful season if he plays his cards right during player bidding which should not be difficult as he has a solid amount of cap to work with.

BHedden: 49ers – 6.5M
Grade: A

49ers in my mind were one of the top three available teams this season apart from the Eagles and Ravens and I honestly thought they would go for a bit more so the fact Bhedden got them for 6.5M is very commendable. Williams + Bosa + Warner + Kittle +
McCaffery + Samuel like come on so many great players to utilize. Even though the QB room on this Madden team is a bit questionable, if you can develop an effective short passing scheme + run the ball well it will be very easy to win games especially knowing
that the 49ers have an amazing defense compared to the rest of the teams that were available.

Beaste: Dolphins – 2M
Grade: A-

Beaste has always been a solid owner and having only spent 2M on the Fins, a squad I consider a dark horse team. I feel this puts him in a really good position. You’ve already got 1 top QB on the roster and with 38M remaining in cap the possibilities are
endless. Tua has always been a concern but a lot of damage can be done with Hill + Waddle on the squad. I’ve personally played against the Fins quite a bit and it is very easy to get roasted by both those WR’s. Though not even just those two, I feel that
on the offensive side Mostert is a sneaky good back even though he sits at 80 ovr. Secondary is solid along with the DL. Some might be surprised with this grade but I’m sticking with it as it is.

Ebok: Cardinals – 6.5M
Grade: B+

At first glance, I was caught by surprise the amount Ebok paid for the Cardinals until I took a look into their Madden roster and came to a conclusion that there is a lot of potential with the Cardinals. Though, if we were to compare the 49ers to that of the
Cardinals, the two teams that went for 6.5M. I’m giving the clear edge to the 49ers which was the biggest influence when it came to my grade. Having won back2back2back Super Bowls it is nearly impossible to question his ability at owner when it comes to team
bidding and player bidding (apart from picking up Breesus). Better OL than most teams, solid skill position players, just the defense that is slight concerning. But as I said, Ebok is capable of drafting a strong team and has enough cap to do so.

Johnny: Vikings – 3.5M
Grade: B+

If Johnny hadn’t also bid on the Jaguars we would have seen him snag the Vikings for 1M which is a bit impressive. Though not highly rated, the Vikings have two very great X-factor players that can carry an offense and superstar players dispersed around the
defense that can cause a lot of trouble for opposing QB’s. We will have to see what Johnny’s approach is this season regarding the player bidding as it felt like he was quite reliant on one line last season. He does have enough cap to change up his strategy so
will we get 6-30 Johnny or Playoff Johnny we will have to wait to see.

Brady: Ravens – 9M
Grade: B

This was tough as I felt Brady possibly deserved a higher score, though the main reason for my final grade is due to the amount Brady had spent for the Ravens along with the 1M cap hit he took for bidding on the Cowboys. The Ravens overall have
a really good roster with the one concern being their WR core. I know many top free agents will be attracted to playing for the Ravens though the question is how many of those top free agents/lines will Brady be capable of securing knowing he has
the least cap out of all owners. I don’t blame him for slightly overpaying for the Ravens because if you put the right users on this squad it could be end-game for the rest of this league.

Ohio: Raiders – 2.5M
Grade: B

My analysis for Ohio is quite similar to that of Mallard’s. You’ve got Devante + Jacobs who are amazing players but also have better stats this Madden compared to that of DK + Kenneth Walker. On the offensive side too we do not want to forget
Darren Waller who will be a big target for the QB’s that get drafted to the Raiders. The Raiders have an amazing DL with two X-Factor players so it should be quite easy to get pressure with this squad. Though like the Seahawks, the OL is a huge
concern along with the rest of the defense. You do have intriguing players like Divine Diablo that can be used to stop the run but we will see how the users on Ohio’s squad manage to utilize this team. I give Ohio a B as I feel this was an overall
decent team bidding for him but nothing crazy sticks out.

Mallard: Seahawks – 2.5M
Grade: B-

If this was the Seahawks in Madden 16 with the LOB I’d say this pick is a complete steal. Though with how the Seahawks roster looks like in this Madden, I am personally not the biggest fan of this pick. When evaluating this team I can say
that Geno has a solid release, and you can get quite glitchy with D.K + Kenneth Walker. The DB core is great, but the rest of the defense is dog shit along with the team’s offensive line. Overall, this team is quite offensive dependent and
if you have users that are unable to put up points it will be very hard for your squad to win games. I feel Mallard paid a solid price for the Seahawks but then you see the Raiders go for the same price and I consider them a slightly better
squad along with the Fins going for 2M which I also consider a better team. Unlike last season, Mallard does have much more cap to work with so we will see how well he does this season regarding player bidding.

Beach: Giants – 1M
Grade: C+

I’ll be quite honest, I don’t think I have ever ran with the Giants this Madden so my opinion could easily be flawed. I have heard from a friend of mine & long-time vet that the Giants have a lot of potential and are actually a decent team
yet, I do not know if I’m completely convinced. Personally, I would have chosen any other NFC East team such as the Cowboys or Commanders over the Giants. It feels like the only bright spots on this team are Saquon and the DL and I do not feel
that you can win a SB with this team at all compared to the other teams that were bidded on this season. The main positive is that Beach does have the most cap out of any owner which provides him tremendous player bidding power. We’ve seen owners
in the past secure a team for 1M but botch their player bidding, however I hope Beach does not fall down this same hole.

Smitty: Jaguars – 6.5M
Grade: C

While writing my initial review, I learned through our league commissioner that Smitty was given a 4M cap hit due to some availability issues during bidding. I eventually decided to take this penalty into consideration regarding my final grade
regardless of the Jags actually closing at 2.5M. Smitty still had the ability to take any of the remaining teams for 1m that could have saved him 1.5M in cap. On to the analysis though, the best overall player on this Jaguars team is 86 overall
Brandon Scherff which is a big yikes. While I have played with the Jaguars a few times in M23 and feel they’re a fun team to play with, I don’t know how well this team will be able to compete with the rest of the league. I’m very interested in
watching how well Smitty does during the player bidding and regular season knowing he got hit with a pretty decent penalty. Though, we have seen what he is capable of as owner as we saw his squad make it to the SB just last season.

Hucci’s Playoff or Bust

Bucs

The Bucs are sitting kind of nice going into this week. No chance they miss playoffs. Brady had one hell of a week posting 15TD’s to 2INT’s and going 3-0 in the process. The war between him and Ebok might have been the best game of the year. Beaste had an average week posting a 2-1 record. However, 2-1 being an average week is a result that some teams would kill for. Beaste is primed to take another team to a SB run. Even with Abyss retiring this team is still alot of peoples favorite to win it all. With Beaste and Brady at QB I don’t disagree that it is a major possibility. Good Luck to these guys in the playoffs. I already know they will finish the season strong.

Chiefs

The KC Chiefs are already locks in the playoffs. Even with Hexied missing a week this team still found itself on the winning side this week. Having Hex back in the lineup will reinforce their position as one of the top seeds going into the playoffs. Champ is having a great season. Champ and Farah always find a way to get it done in the regular season. Getting Hexied on the squad in bidding may finally result in them winning it all. I look forward to our rematch with the self-proclaimed “goats” of the VFL.

Browns

I said this since the beginning of the season, Woohdy is the best RB in the VFL. His attitude may suck sometimes (which is a trend with RB’s), but the talent is there. He had a season MVP performance in one week. Posting godly numbers and cementing the Browns in the top 3. Woohdy did so well this past week that he kind of overshadowed his teammates who also had a decent week statistically. Both Redwater and IbPro were top 3 in rushing right along with Woohdy. The only difference is Woohdy went 3-0 and they both went 1-2. I don’t see this week being any different with Woohdy carrying this team into the playoffs. Getting Brisket and Accountant somewhere along the way sures up the Browns defense. Accountant is a terror on the line, w/o an ability, I can’t imagine what he will do with Myles. I still think this team will let Woohdy tote them into the playoffs but these are smart moves from Braves to sure up the defense headed into the playoffs.

Eagles

Here we are sitting at 15-12. To be fair, both me and Ebok have 6-3 (1 loss not at QB) records with Breesus’ 2-7 holding most of our Ls. I am surprised we are almost playoff eligible. Barring a catastrophic breakdown this week, we should make the playoffs. Ebok put on a show this week with his only loss coming to Brady. This firefight between the two reinvigorated Eboks claim as a top 3 QB in this league. He did that with no passing abilities as well. Ebok is firing down range with precision w/o abilities. While I (Hucci) have been struggling. I have been winning but not convincingly. I have been in this league 5 seasons and I have never had stud teammates. Thats the problem I have this season. I have such good teammates on my line and I just don’t know how to use them effectively. I have always had 500k players with me. I’ve been working in the lab to get my guys more involved so we will see how this week goes. Mo has been running a phenomenal defense I just have to pick it up on offense. As for Breesus’ line, the addition of Kuhrow hasn’t really paid off yet. Not his fault. Breesus just plays like he has a passing ability. While this team had a few slumps, I do know we will all show up playoff time (except Breesus). See y’all in the post season.

Chargers

The Chargers are almost playoff locks as well. TxJames is once again undefeated and in the MVP race. Unfortunately, MVP trophies don’t win SB trophies. I question the strength of schedule. Iron sharpens iron. If you go into the playoffs only playing average and below average lines all season, then you are going to get beat by good teams in the playoffs. It happened last year. Nice stats, but trophies are all that matters. This team will make the playoffs. Honestly though I wouldn’t fear playing TXJames line in the playoffs, I would fear the AP line. They are battle tested and always have great games against the best of competition this league has. I would rather play the other lines than the AP boys. Remix is an old head who is making his return to the league. His first game at QB didn’t really go bad or well. Decent stat line, it just didn’t result in a win. I look forward to seeing how Remix gets along in the new VFL. From my perspective, I’m happy to see Johnny in a postseason. He is a good owner; a good guy and he deserves it after having shit teams in the past. Best of luck to the Chargers heading into the playoffs.

TEAMS FIGHTING FOR PLAYOFFS SPOTS

(WILD CARDS)

Packers

Surprisingly, the Packers are not far off from locking themselves in a playoff spot. If they win out this week it could mean the Pack is playoff bound. Smitty has put together a little squad of hitters. Despite all the trades and other stuff, Smitty’s Pack is still almost .500. Fig and Smitty’s line have done well this season. Fig isn’t lighting up the scoreboard, but they are squeaking out some wins sitting at 6-3. The other line with Rytzo has a few wins as well sitting at 4-4. One of those wins is over me. At 4-4 he holds the key to this team’s playoffs hopes. Rytzo really likes 01 Trap. At this point in the season it’s gonna take more than that to get them over that hump. Hes gotta open the playbook up to compete in the playoffs. As for the other line, RCV20 came out and got a dub in his first game out. Jury is still out on whether his success will continue. The addition of Nate to the squad gives me alot of hope for this team. Nate is a great player and can help propel this team past the other teams on a playoff push.

Bengals

Lucky always seems to be in the hunt. Making moves and adjustments to set his team up for success. Barely sitting on the outside of a playoff spot that alot of teams are fighting over. His one game suspension this week may come back to haunt him. Lucky coming off a 3-0 week shows he’s finally hitting his stride on this team. Missing a game from one of your star players is tough. The other star QB Sacrifice has struggled this week posting a 1-2 record. I have no doubt Sac will get it together. Hes a good schemer. Maybe changing the gameplan would benefit him. Despite the 2-7 record for the season, Playoff Sac is built different. They just gotta get there first. The Bengals have one of the best RB rooms in the league besides the Browns. Fear, North and Telos are studs in the backfield. Just got to find the scheme to utilize them correctly. The 3rd QB Beachmode is 50/50 mostly. Sometimes he’s on and sometimes he’s completely off. Between him and Sac, one of them must step up and help push this team into the playoffs. I want that Lucky matchup.

Bills

I’m kind of surprised that Koolaid’s squad is questionable for playoffs.

Inconsistency at QB has been their biggest downfall. It’s the Bills and Josh Allen. One of the best QB’s in the game. I don’t understand how you struggle with Allen at QB. The Tglass experiment failed the Bills and maybe their playoff hopes. I’m not saying they are out because I expect Koolaidz to always be in the playoffs. But they have to pick it up if that’s going to happen. The Tglass experiment showed the difference between the NFL and AFL. His 0-6 record didn’t help this squad at all. With Shady stepping in at QB I expect this week to go alot better for the Bills. Shady may be the difference in them making playoffs or not. Shady makes good reads so I expect a good week from him. The Bills have gotten both good and bad from the AFL this season. Tglass didn’t pan out but Porkside has shown to be a hidden gem from the AFL. Koolaidz is having a great season as usual. However, for this team to compete in the offs the rest of the QB’s need to step it up.

Dolphins

The Dolphins have been a struggle bus this season. The expectations of Cruce have kind of fallen short of what we thought. Cruce is a great player but when you play with abilities it’s tough to switch to no abilities. Not only switch to no abilities but switch to a lefty with no abilities. While the Dolphins have the speed, they don’t have the wins. Verts has shown up in his first season posting a 6-2 record. Verts has played well accounting for 6 of the teams 10 wins. He has gotten more wins than the other 2 QB’s combined. That’s tragic. While the Dolphins are still struggling to find a 3rd QB that can win, I feel like it’s too late in the season. Their season might be over. On paper this team looked OK at the beginning, but the team looks completely different than the team they started with. While I don’t know if they are eliminated completely yet. This week must be all dubs for them to have a chance.

Cowboys

Ohio had a formidable squad coming into the season. Getting Drock and the AP line. This team looked easily .500. With the GM retiring and none of the QB/s really doing well this season besides the AP line. I think this team has given up on this season. Trading away the AP line and getting T1 Anime just to trade him away shows that. Ohio has always been a good owner but everyone has an off season. I expect him to return next season with better management moves to be better next season.

Hucci’s Post Bidding Thoughts Part 3

Buccaneers

Some might say this is the best QB room in the league. I would have to agree with that. While others might say that is meaningless if you are surrounded by 500k players. I would have to disagree with that. The knowledge that 3 top-end QB’s bring to the table is game-changing. Most great QB’s can play both sides of the ball and know every position. I’ll use myself as an example. I play both H2H and WL. I can run defense better than 3/4th of this league. (Open invitation in H2H if you think I’m wrong) I play against the meta every weekend. There are very few players in this league that match my defensive IQ because of how much H2H/WL/Squads I’ve played. Players like Realest(Now people can say oh Realest isn’t a QB and those same people can’t win 21 games of WL, Realest can.), Abyss, Hexied, Ebok, Cruce and Brady are on that short list of players that have the equivalent experience. That makes them such well rounded players on both sides. They have that IQ. They have played the meta defenses and have reps against almost any defense you can throw at them. They can teach these 500k players where the holes are or why this action does this to a defense and so forth and so on. The overall competitive experience these 3 QB’s bring to the table rivals any QB room in this league. Example, I was just in a party with Brady and North a couple weeks ago while they were labbing dollar. How many QB’s in this league are labbing dollar with friends? He labs it so he can understand it. That makes a great QB. Did I mention that there are 3 of them? 3 different QB’s could be labbing and figuring defense/schemes things out. Not just 3 QB’s, 3 great QB’s. 1 of which is arguably one of the best QB’s in league history, Abyss. Coming off an MVP worthy performance (again) and winning QBOTY (again). He’s the 2-time MVP, 3 time LBOTY and 3 time QBOTY. Despite not winning the MVP, Abyss put up phenomenal numbers at QB. Posting a 9-3 record with 36 TDS to 9 INTS. Most people thought he should’ve won MVP based on strength of schedule. Abyss plays anyone, anytime. Abyss is gonna be a threat at QB every time he steps on the field. He’s always going to have a scheme that nobody else has. From his normal passing scheme to his high point passing scheme, Abyss’ offense will always be top tier. He also got LBOTY which means he’s a threat at user in the middle. Next up we got Brady. Brady has had two good seasons in the last 4 seasons. 2 being at QB. He took off a season to play RB and I guess we will see how he transitions back into a QB role this season. The other season he had at QB wasn’t that great. So 2 great seasons and 2 mediocre seasons. His last winning season at QB he went 10-2 with 26TD-16INTS. So while the IQ is there, he isn’t immune to mistakes. I still think Brady is a top tier QB in this league and I expect him to have a great comeback SZN. Next up we got Beaste. Beaste’s last season was a good outing posting a 7W-4L record and 14TDs-6INTS. So we know Beaste can play QB in 23. I say 23 because it’s very different than 22. Beaste is an old head who won 2 SB’s back in the LeagueArena days. Abyss made a deep run in the playoffs so I expect no less from this team. On to the RB position. They selected Clutch, Wales and ChildPlease. Of the 3, none of them have had a 600+ yard rushing season at RB in the last 5 Seasons. Clutch did have a 700+ rec yard season. So he is one of the better receiving backs in the league. Not that this team runs the ball a lot. So I don’t expect large numbers from them this season as well. On to WR. Crazy Effectz, Gamegreen and Beefy. Crazy didn’t have the greatest season last season posting only 700 receiving yards, but the previous season he posted 1900 rec yards with 21 TDS and also won a SB. I expect big numbers from Crazy with a top end QB throwing him the ball. Beefy is Beaste kin so I’m sure he will be on Beaste’s line. Beefy did have some great seasons at DL back in the day. Amassing 23 sacks in two different seasons. The chemistry that comes along with people you know IRL is unmatched. I expect these two to get dubs together. The lowlight at receiver (or what most people assume would be) is Gamegreen. In my opionion this was a smart move. Nobody reads defenses like a QB. Getting a former QB at receiver is a smart move when trying to attack the defense with a user receiver. They know where the holes are in the defense based on the corner and safety movement. All in all this QB room is phenomenal. 3 great leaders at QB with a tremendous amount of SB experience. Highpoints got patched but Mike Evans is Mike Evans. These guys have a perfect mix of high point and normal passing. I expect these guys to be a terror in the league. As long as the supporting cast can play defense this team will stay in contention from week 1 till the SB.

Chiefs

Up next we got the Chiefs. Led by owner Champ and GM Hexied. Honestly this might be a short one because of the unknowns going with this team. Not a lot of info out there about Dexi, KingKlay, PaidDough or Try Luv. So let’s talk about what we do know. Champ pairing with Hexied is kind of killer for real. Champ is a veteran owner who only requires one thing to get wins, Farah. Farah and Champ have been together since I’ve been in the league and they are always a tough matchup for anyone. Together they amassed an 8W-3L record last season on the Chargers. Champ threw 19TDS – 6INTS and 1900 Yards. 19 of those TDS went to Farah at WR. As a duo they are prolific in the passing game with few pairs even coming close to rivaling them in this league. I don’t expect that to change in season 8. Next up we got Hexied. I’ve known Hexied for awhile. We’ve played MUT together or against each other for the last few years. Hex came in hot with the shit talk and backed it up by making it to the SB. Hex is a great player. He is sometimes overly toxic but he is young. Maturity is just on the horizon for him. He has the talent to be one of the best QB’s this league has ever seen. He is looking to back up all the shit talk again this season. I don’t expect any less from Hex. He is definitely a top tier QB. Sometimes the immaturity doesn’t mesh well with the team around you so we will see how that pans out. Most people don’t give a damn if they are winning. Hexied posted 15TD-7INTS in his debut season. I expect a lot better numbers this season as he gets more comfortable in the VFL setting. Up next we got UngluedTiger. I don’t know if they are on the same line but pairing two toxic people together sounds explosive. A lot of mumblings around the league that Tiger is toxic and is not easy to get along with. Idk how that will play out between management and Tiger but I will be watching that for sure. Aside from the toxicity, Tiger has posted 3 great seasons at RB with two of those seasons hitting over 1000 yards rushing. He has 35 Rushing TDs in 3 seasons. Wow. That’s pretty freaking good. Kind of shocked by those numbers. Amazing numbers but tie that in with the toxic teammate trait is probably why he went so low. Is the toxicity a tactic to keep the price down? IDK. Next we got WRNZO. He was on Hex line last season and he put up pretty solid numbers for the first time in his VFL career. He got 718 Yards and 10TDS on the ground to go along with 9.7 yards per carry. WRNZO had a breakout season. I dont expect him to get much higher than that season just because the Chiefs team as a whole loves to pass. Great back but he will probably be more utilized in the passing game. Dexi and King Klay are Hexied’s MUT homies. If we can take anything from last season it’s dont count out the MUT players. Me being one of the MUT players as well. I know there are some really good team play players in MUT. I cant speak for Dexi or Klay because I’ve never played with them or against them. Most MUT players are hip with the meta defenses and cheesy offenses which is why the league has seen more Spinner/DB fire these last couple seasons. Jury is still out on whether Klay and Dexi can transition to regs team play. As for Paid Dough and Try Luv. There aren’t any stats for either so I dont have much to go off of in their realm. If they are coachable I expect Champ, Hex and Farah to have them ready for the season opener. All in all, I expect this team to be competitive and be in the top 3 of the Power Rankings all season. They have built a really good squad over here. Full of toxicness but also full of game to back it up. Once again another great season ahead for the Chiefs under Champs leadership.

Superglued Tiger Interview

Tiger is a solid player, can sometimes be a bit cocky, however he definitely has backed up his cockiness when it comes to his performance as a RB! I think defensively he’s pretty average, but on offense he is a game changer type of guy!

1. This being your first season not on Koolaid’s line, do you think it will be a fun experience? Or do you think it will be business as usual and you’re going to ball out regardless?

Koolaid is a great QB with a great scheme and some really good plays. I do think some of my best runs came from his play calling but at the end of the day you can still make the wrong decision toting the rock and mess up even the best plays. So I still think I will be a top 4 RB just like every other season I’ve been in the VFL. Especially now playing with Champ and Farah who ultimately have the same scheming and mindset/approach to madden

2. Originally starting on the Browns must have been a dream as a RB/DL and now you’re on the Chiefs. Though, they do have a great roster both on madden and in the VFL. Has your attitude changed at all since being originally picked up by the Browns? Please explain why or why not.

I mean, I went in being the top RB outside of the 3 Browns RB’s last season using arguably the worst RB on any team last season.  So yeah, I was excited cause I’ve used Chubb and always got 150+ yards in every team play game I’ve used him.  So I was a little salty to get sent off before even running one scrimmage with them. But at the end of the day I’m back with some people I played with my first season and I’m happy to be on the Chiefs. I think we have the best roster right now and definitely expect big things this season.

3. I’ve played on your team in season 6 and I know you’re a great RB. There also seems to be a lot of people in the league that haven’t played on your team that seem to think you are “toxic”. How would you respond to those people? (myself sort of included 😂)

End of the day, I am a competitor. I’ve never had fun losing. So even in a free-to-play league I don’t know how you can have fun if you’re losing. I don’t bite my tongue because if I see something that can be fixed I will say it to give my team the best chance of winning. I’ve toned it down from when I first started but at the end of the day every league needs a villain. So I don’t mind having that image cause my numbers back my talking ten-fold.

4. Where do you see the Chiefs ending up in the standings as well as the Super Bowl race?

We will definitely be top 2.  I don’t see my line or Hexied’s line losing more then 1 game if that. Our goal is to have two undefeated lines and I definitely think it’s attainable.  And obviously we are my super bowl favorites.

5. Tell us a little about yourself whether it’s madden related or personally? Let the league get to know you!

I run a sports bar in the middle of Charlotte. Take care of my dog and my snakes in my free time.  Madden is about the only game I play on Xbox anymore. When I do have some free time I play golf. I joke a lot so most people in the league take my jokes very literally cause my sense of humor is dry. But the people I talk with and play with mostly know when I’m joking and when I’m bluntly telling them them they’re ass.

Will he BeHedden to the playoffs?

Bhedden is a new owner this season, he was on staff last season and decided to give being an owner a shot. We all know that being a new owner in the league can be an extremely difficult task. No one knows your capabilities yet, and that can make it difficult to convince people to take your GM spot or even have faith in you as a player, so far Bhedden’s team looks solid and doesn’t seem to have these issues.

Let’s see what he has to say so far:

1. As a new owner in the league, how would you describe how the first couple of weeks have been?

It has been a very busy first few weeks. The amount of players moving around directly after draft has been a lot to keep up with. But it has been very fun.

2. Picking the dolphins up for one million could definitely be a sleeper pick, you have speed all over the place. However, the biggest question mark on the team is Tua. Were the Miami Dolphins your initial pick?

No they weren’t the initial pick at all. But I had a price cap in mind and all of the teams with QB abilities went way above it. Cruce and I talked about the Ravens/Eagles and ended up settling with the Dolphins. We knew Tua would be less than ideal but having Waddle, Tyreek, and Mostert on offense, as well as a secondary that is almost all over 90 speed seemed worth it.

3. You have a few solid names on your team right now with Painkiller and Accountant being two of the top defensive lineman in the league last season. Would you say stacking your teams defensive lineman was a goal for you going into the bidding? Also how would you describe your strategy going into the bidding?

Going into bidding, we had a few guys that we absolutely knew we would be able to get cheap because no one knew who they were except Cruce and maybe Hexie. I was dead set on getting a couple guys regardless of cost and then going from there,  but I actually ended up getting them for a lot less than I was expecting. So I was able to spend a lot more and beef up my DC’s.

4. Who has been your biggest help so far when it comes to making sure everything is going smoothly and keeping up with how to handle things as a new owner?

Cruce has been a huge help. Even just bouncing ideas off when it comes to trades and everything. He was the one who told me that Verts was a steal at QB even at 2.5 mil.

5. Where do you see your team ending up this season as far as standings, playoffs, etc?

I feel like we will 100% make the playoffs. We have put together a very solid team and am very happy with it.
