VFL Top 25 Players

This is a list of what 4 others players and myself within the community think are the Top 25 players from this Madden which includes seasons 6 ,7 , 8 , 9. I would like to starting by thanking Farah , Gabe , Koolaidz and EboK for taking time to help with this process. There was a point system based on where you got ranked on all 5 voters. Here are players ranked 1-5! Below it will also show the exact order everyone voted. Hope you all enjoyed!

 

5) PonchySwag

EboK on Ponchy – “Top 2 QB in the league. High madden iq. Would be higher if he played more than 1.5 seasons. I would like to see Ponchy DC for a szn.”

Realest on Ponchy – Only QB Ive seen take a good 2 to 3 month break from the game come back for 2 to 3 days and have a scheme ready to break VFL single season passing records , If he put in more seasons he would probably be top 2 or 3.

Gabe on Ponchy – “Speaks volumes to how talented ponchy is that every 1 had him as a top 5 player with basically 1.5 seasons out of 4 on this madden. But that’s ponchy for you. Incredible talent, when locked in he’s a top 2 qb in league. 1 of the most intelligent madden players in the league and has been for years. Hopefully he is here to stay because the league is a much better place when ponchy is on top of his game. “

Farah on Ponchy – The most annoying QB in the league to call defense against. You always have to keep Ponchy on his toes because if he gets a consistent read on your defense then you are about to get cooked. He might not have the greatest user skills compared to some of the the other top 5, but his play designs and decision-making at QB are great. He would have been higher up this list if he would have played more seasons, but his season with Skylar Thompson was insane.

Koolaidz on Ponchy – You know someone called me an off brand Ponchy once and I still laugh about it till this day. Jokes aside, this man is def a Top 3 QB imo & can pick apart your defense with his eyes closed. Solid users on the defensive side of things too. Bouncing off something Farah had said, his performance with Thompson was very impressive. 

 

4) Woohdy V2

Realest on Woohdy – The top running back this madden without a question. MVP , 2 RBOTY awards and a superbowl to go along with it. Woohdy went from not being able to stay on a roster last Madden to ranked 4th. So inspirational!!!! Mr 3rd & 15

EboK on Woohdy – “Woohdy was able to stay on rosters this year & had the best madden out of all RBs. Still the only player to make a pro bowl as an ECU(happened szn 5 M22).”

Gabe on Woohdy – “Proved to be 1 of the most impactful non qbs in all of madden 23. Was statistically the best rb over the game cycle and proved to be an elite user on defense. Won mvp and b2b rboty on top of being a dboty finalist. Woohdy did it all this madden and always found ways to keep his team competitive and in every game. True gamechanger who redefined the value of a user rb.”

Farah on Woohdy – Best RB in the league in Madden 23. He put up numbers every season and he was a force running the ball. He certainly had some great RBs to use, but he capitalized on that every season. It will be interesting to see if that carries over to Madden 24.

Koolaidz on Woohdy – Best RB in the league, feed him the rock 25-30 times and you win. Loved watching this man get a first down on 3rd & 30 with Kenneth Walker. Also very good at DB which really elevates him on the list. Big props winning MVP and getting b2b RBOTY.

 

3) Realest260

EboK on Realest – “Top DC & elite madden iq. I think people found out he doesn’t need Abyss to win. I would like to see Realest play a full szn at QB.”

Gabe on Realest – ” the most valuable non qb in all of madden 23. Revolutionized DC play with his elite madden iq that was giving opposing qbs fits due to his constant adjustments and willingness to be different. Does not have the stats or awards like other ppl this high on the list but the real know his skill level with the ball. If given the chance he could easily be a perennial mvp candidate at wr, rb or even qb (which might be his best position). He’s also a top 3 user in the league on defense as well.. frankly there isn’t anything realest can’t do on madden and he is more than deserving of a top 3 spot.”

Farah on Realest  – One of the most versatile and consistent players in the league. He is one of the best DCs in the league. It will be interesting to see if he brings back the dynamic duo of Abyss and Realest on Madden 24

Koolaidz on Realest – #1 DC in the league, not someone you will ever enjoy going up against. Deep madden knowledge from his experience in MUT and is definitely a player you want on your team if you want to win a SB. Just know Realest I’ll get my dub against you come M24.

 

2) IR Brady

Koolaidz on Brady – Top 2 QB in the league as long as he doesn’t use Watson. Brady can easily thrash lesser skilled opponents and knows how to game manage when playing equal comp. One of the top 2 lurkers at LB apart from Abyss. SB under his belt and has been up for MVP voting multiple times. Def deserves #2.

Realest on Brady – Everyone knows at this point what Brady is capable of on both sides of the ball. A top 3 QB and one of if not the best linebacker in the VFL. I would probably say Brady is the true definition of a hard carry.

Farah on Brady – Coach brady is one of the best QBs and the best LB in the VFL. Man wins a lot of games and always puts his team in a position to succeed.

Gabe on Brady – ” Mr..consistency.. Brady is the model of consistency in the vfl. Has been nothing short of exceptional on both sides of the ball since he joined the league and that didn’t change 1 bit during the course of madden 23. He accomplished everything you could possibly want, winning multiple qboty, lboty, line of the year going undefeated, winning a sb. You name it , Brady did it. He is no doubt a top 3 player in the league and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. “

EboK on Brady – “Top tier QB/LB. Brady is one of the very few players who have to hard carry both sides of the ball to consistently win.”

 

1) EboK

Realest on EboK – Was without a question the number 1 ranked player this Madden. Not only was he a high level player on the field but he consistently put together the best roster 2 seasons in a row as a owner and was apart of a 3 peat. Kuhrow is probably rattled about this

Gabe on EboK – ” a wise man once said last year that if given the opportunity, ebok would be an mvp level player and a future superstar. Well ebok got his chance this year, playing qb for all of madden 23. What did he do with that opportunity? Won 3 out of 4 sbs, dominated every season statistically regardless of who he was using, set the offensive meta on multiple occasions and was an elite user on defense every season. Ebok Is the face of the league and unquestionably the best qb on top of being a top 3 DC and all around great user who could in reality be top 3 at any position if he wanted. He’s come a long way from being the troll of the league .”

Farah on EboK – The DJ Khaled of the VFL. Can be annoying, a bit of troll, but all he does is win. Ebok is one of the best QBs in the league and can be one of the best DCs in the league when he wants to switch it up. I am curious to see if he starts off at DC or QB on madden 24 but he was the clear cut best player on Madden 23 when you combine stats and winning the Super Bowl.

Koolaidz on EboK – I’m thankful I have never allowed 500 against this man. But to be an owner and go triple back 2 back 2 back SB winner like come on, that is I n S a n E. From the success as an owner and a player ebok is the obvious #1 for this madden.

VFL Top 25 players

This is a list of what 4 others players and myself within the community think are the Top 25 players from this Madden which includes seasons 6 ,7 , 8 , 9. 10) Willy

EboK on Willy – “Decent RB & top tier DL user. Had a great szn with the Bills but didn’t do much after that. His biggest downfall was not having a consistent QB this madden.”

Gabe on Willy – “1 of the best rbs in the league and a game changing DL user. Hasn’t had the astronomical production that he started off madden 23 with but he’s still been very effective despite not ideal circumstances. We have seen willy in a good situation and it was utter domination on both sides of the ball. I’m hopeful we’ll see more of that willy going forward.”

Realest on Willy – Willy with the right cast of players can be a wrecking force in the league as you seen Season 6 winning MVP , RBOTY and DLOTY. He has been top 3 at both RB and DL overall this Madden.

Farah on Willy – Consistently a good DL and RB user. His MVP season as a non-QB was very impressive and is very difficult to accomplish in the VFL.

Koolaidz on Willy – This man been around since day 1 and has consistently been a great player which speaks volumes. Very solid RB/DL that deserved to edge out the top 10.

 

9) TxJamesSmith

Realest on James – James might be the best regular season player in the VFL . With a regular season record of 21-2 thats great but for me playoffs matter. If he had more playoff success I would guess he cracks the top 10.

EboK on James – “James was the first person to go 12-0 in a szn & dominated with Herbert for 2 szns until playoffs. Heard he has nightmares about TMOs nickel over pinch blitz.”

Gabe on James – “Has quite the resume in his short time on this madden. Undefeated season and mvp. Only person that can lay claim to that. Elite qb when he’s committed. Hopefully he is more active going forward, if so I imagine he’ll be in the top 5.”

Koolaidz on James – Probably has one of the best records in the league this madden. JamesSmith and his guys are definitely a force not to be reckoned with. There are some concerns though with his S.O.S. and playoff success that prevents him from being ranked higher

Farah on James – He is a regular season legend who puts stats and will get you 10+ wins every season. He would be much higher on this list if he wasn’t 1-5 in the playoffs this madden. There is a stigma that he only bum hunts based on his season with Johnny giving him all the surefire win games, but he is still a better QB than 90% of the league regardless of what people say or his strength of schedule. I think if he makes a return next madden, he will be looking for ways to change that playoff narrative.

8) Gabe

Koolaidz on Gabe – Another individual that has been in the league from the beginning. Jack-of-all-trades, underrated killer. Imo one of the best skill players the league has to offer. How this man managed to end up on ebok’s squad for so cheap every season does not make sense to me

Realest on Gabe – Easily one of the most talented players in the league , if Gabe put in the time to become a DC he would have insane value around the league instead of being a 1 to 2 mil player over the time of this Madden.

Farah on Gabe – One of the best WRs to ever do it and a dangerous player to play against when he is paired with Ebok. Gabe has so much versatility and has consistently been good and put up solid stats regardless of his position.

EboK on Gabe – “Best RB & WR user in the league & had the best statistical szn for a DB ever. B2B champ.”

 

7) Tmo

Realest on Tmo – Tmo defense has caused havoc this Madden for QBs around the league. When James was 12-0 Tmo ended his undefeated streak in the playoffs by beating him 2 times in one series. If you need a guy on the team who is willing to help the team improve and prepare for games Tmo is who you want.

Gabe on Tmo – ” has some how become underrated despite 2 magnificent superbowl performances. Has always been a top dc on this madden and 1 of the more skilled user wrs. Has been a staple in the community for 10+ years and boasts that madden iq you would expect from some 1 with that kind of experience. Doesn’t have the stats or awards you would expect from an elite player but when it comes to winning and a desire to win, you won’t find any1 more committed to that than Tmo. He is the whole package and is as valuable to a team as you can be without being a qb.”

EboK on Tmo – “Top tier WR/LB/DC in the league. Can argue he hard carried his lines both times he won this madden(Eagles/Cowboys). I think if TMO had a consistent QB he’d be higher on this list.
Is TMO the real route tech?
B2B champ.”

Farah on Tmo – On Madden 23, he was a top 5 DC, Top 5 LB, and top 10 WR. Combine that with winning multiple Super Bowls, and that is how Tmo finds himself at this spot. He might not have been a number one line on any of his super bowl winning teams, but he always knows how to position himself for success and help his team get wins.

Koolaidz on Tmo – One of the top DC’s within the league, a player that always comes prepped. Knows how to find the open field as WR. Great voice to have in the locker room and always communicates during the game in order to help his team succeed.

 

6) Hucci

EboK on Hucci – “Hucci is a top tier QB/DC with high madden iq but struggles without SFL/PLE. If he learns how to use the non velocity QBs & to trust his users next madden he could see himself potentially cracking the top 5 on this list for M24.
3 peated.
Highwalkers son.”

Farah on Hucci – Hucci might not care about his electric bill with the number of hours his Xbox is left on to accumulate almost half a year of play time on Madden 23, but no one can question his skill at QB or his 3 Super Bowls this madden. He is certainly more dependent on throwing abilities than some of the other QBs ranked above, but he found ways to win playoff games when he didn’t have them. Man just knows how to win when it matters. Season 9 probably hurt his ranking for retiring mid season, but he is still one of the better players in the league

Koolaidz on Hucci – Hucc Cuch, I love saying that. This man comes up big time during playoffs and is a w i n n e r. Big props on having three superbowl rings under his name this madden. Easily has the game knowledge to take his teams to the next level.

Realest on Hucci – Hucci is simply a winner when it comes to Madden 23 , 3 rings 1 at DC and 2 QB. One struggle for Hucci was playing without on of the top QB with a passing ability. Outside of that #6 spot for Hucci is more then deserving.

Gabe on Hucci – “Winner….. Point blank period… He has 3 chips out of 4 on this madden. Slice it however you want but Hucci is a winner and got it done as a DC and 2x as a qb. Both of which he had stretches of dominance at. If he can show a little more consistency at qb regardless of who he is using than I believe he is a top 5 player in the league.”

 

 

VFL top 25 players

15) F34R Painkiller

Realest on Fear – If Fear would focus on just being a skill position player instead of QB he probably would have been ranked higher. In my personal opinion was snubbed of MVP SZN 7.

Gabe on Fear –  “Great rb dl who can flex to qb if he needs to. Has some very impressive seasons under his belt and has been a quality player in the league every season. Could be higher if he truly masters rb or qb.. Splitting time might be holding him back from his ceiling at both. 

Koolaidz on Fear – Even though he’s sold me in a couple of MUT super bowls and in VFL playoffs I still consider him a very solid skill position player. Great users on defense just please get offff QB.

Farah on Fear – Stick to RB. Stop making Shady suffer. One of the better RB and DL users when he plays those positions. His QB play holds his ranking back even tho he can win a solid amount of games at QB. When he sticks to his plan and doesn’t compound mistakes, he is okay at QB and knows how to game manage.

EboK on Fear – “I viewed RPO Painkiller as a COMPLETE SHITTER on madden 22 but this madden he was able to put together 2 good seasons with Chubb/Garrett & Mixon/Hendrickson. RPO Painkiller still sucks ASS at QB tho.”

 

14) Northsidez

Gabe on North – ” 1 of the best rbs and dl in the league. Has terrorized opposing teams on both sides of the ball every season and is a staple name in the community. I think in many peoples eyes, his success Is tied to brady, which to a degree Is understable.. But the fact is he shows up every season and balls out on both sides. Can’t ask for much more

EboK on North – “Decent RB & solid DL user. Could’ve been a B2B champ but ran from the grind with Breesuss “

Realest on North – I thought North was a better player in M22 then he was this Madden , Numbers overall took a hit these past 2 seasons but still one of the most productive players in the league

Farah on North – He and Brady have consistently been one of the best dynamic duos on madden, and it continued on madden 23. North might not have the RB stats that he did on last madden because he did not get the same amount of touches, but he has become a very strong DL presence to pair with one of the best coverage LBs in the VFL.

Koolaidz – One of the best when it comes to DL. Has game knowledge and just wants to win.

 

13) Koolaidz

Realest on Koolaidz – If your a running back this is the QB you want to be paired with , Very excellent game manager and a good user is coverage , would like to see him take the next step becoming a elite QB.

EboK on Koolaidz – “Solid QB & great DB user. Koolaidz is the best game manager QB. This madden he adopted the Fatisland defense by usering the outside corner & catches QBs off guard(had Drock seeing ghosts).”

Farah on Koolaidz – This man has come a long way since Tiger and Kavious demanded that Beaste bench him in the season 5 playoffs for Blunkey. On any day, he can be one of the best QBs in the league or lose to lucky in a play-in game. You never know what you are going to get, but his DB play is always one of the best in the league every season

Gabe on Koolaidz – “1 of the very best defensive users in the entire league. He is also the most efficient game manager at qb perhaps the league has ever seen. Boasting impressive win % and well rounded stats at the qb position. If he could build off his efficiency and show a little more aggression as a qb, I believe he could be a top 5 talent.

 

12) Champ

Farah on Champ – The man gets online, throws 3 passes in practice mode, and then proceeds to win plenty of games before not touching the game for a week. He barely plays but he is problem to stop when he is locked in. He went 9-2 in the playoffs on this Madden and changed the narrative about winning playoff games. If he takes the next step and wins a Super Bowl, he is right there with anyone. Didn’t have the insane passing stats this Madden since he used run heavy teams for 2 seasons

Gabe on Champ – ” Ole reliable! Has been a namestay in the community for quite some time and still just keeps winning. His statistical production has declined a bit from what we are used to seeing from champ, but he is still providing high level qb play and pulling out Ws. Solid user on defense aswell. I think if champ really dedicates to learning the meta he could forsure return to his former glory as top option at qb.

EboK on Champ – “A locked in champ would be a top 5 QB/DB. If he won the SB with the Eagles he would’ve been bumped up on the list for sure.”

Realest on Champ – Champ is my 2nd favorite QB to play Madden against , I know the film study is going to be there so its important to execute defensively when the time comes because Champ and his line will always be prepared on whats coming. Changed the narrative that they don’t win playoff games this Madden because last Madden was a let down come playoff time.

Koolaidz on Champ – If this man p r a c t i c e s he could def be tiers higher. Expect great DB play from him and his ability to end seasons with great winning records due to his game management.

 

11) Abyss

Gabe on Abyss – ” The former GOAT…. Still every bit the talent he’s always been as a qb/lb but just didn’t quite have the consistency this madden as he did on previous installments.. The 1 season he was truly locked in he produced the magic that we all came to love from abyss. If he can just stay consistent and engaged I don’t see why he can’t get back to being a top 3 player in the league

EboK on Abyss – “Was considered the “GOAT” on madden 22 but fell off by his standards on madden 23. He’s one of the best QB/LB users for sure but only played 2.25 seasons this year. Would probably be top 5 in this rankings if he played all of M23. Does Abyss need realest to win?”

Koolaidz on Abyss – This man has money plays on deck and is one of the best QB’s out there in the league. Not to mention very great defensive users too. If he hadn’t retired he could also easily be ranked higher.

Farah on Abyss – Madden 22 legend and still had a lot of success on this madden. You can always count on him to win games. He would have been higher if he didn’t quit on his team last season because they would have been a tough out in the playoffs with the QB room that they had assembled. He has consistently been one of the best players in the league for a while, and I hope a new Madden brings him back to the league. He will surely be higher on a list next madden if he plays every season.

Realest on Abyss – To the standards that everyone holds him too it was a let down , Only really had one real “Abyss” level season. Hoping for Abyss to return to VFL and most importantly return back to his 2x MVP form. If a having a let down gets your ranked 11th in the league that tells you how good of a player he is.

20) Farah En Fuego

Koolaidz on Farah – “Better learn to switch things up cause this man always comes prepared. Amazing defensive users and always wants the best for his team”

Gabe on Farah – “Consistently 1 of the best user wrs in the league for the past 3+ maddens.. Didn’t have to stats to really show that this madden which is why he’s not higher. Also a great user on defense with tons of experience. I expect him to be much higher on this list next madden”

Realest on Farah – On Madden there is a ability called Film Study , If a VFL player were to have that ability it would be Farah. The true mastermind behind the success behind his lines consistent play over the past 2 Maddens.

EboK on Farah – “Great WR/LB but stats fell off heavily from M22 – M23. Would be much higher on list if he had stats.”

 

19) Hexied

EboK on Hexied – “Has high madden iq & is a Top 5 QB skill wise but is a tweak. Would be a top 5 DC as well. First shitter of the year award winner(imagine beating Breesuss to that award).”

Gabe on Hexied – “1 of the best players in the league skill wise but unfortunately doesn’t have the long term success to justify being higher. If he can be consistent going forward I don’t see how he’s not in the top 10 at worst”

Koolaidz on Hexied –  “Personally had some tough matchups versus this guy, easily knows how to pick apart any defense. Crumbles though during clutch moments”

Farah on Hexied – He is his own worst enemy. When he plays, he can be an extremely dominant QB. But he barely played in the league this madden. If he played a full 4 seasons and didn’t quit or get suspended, he would be much higher

Realest on Hexied – Good player but whenever it matters he folds , Whenever it comes to a matchup that matters he always ” has the wrong playbook ” Never lived up to the expectations he put on himself

 

18) Shady on Xbox

Realest on Shady – Shady is a overall good user defensive at LB or DB , I think he is better off when hes not playing next to Fear as long as hes with Fear the offense is obviously with no surprise factor.

Koolaidz on Shady – “Can easily lurk opponents or give you a solid 200 at RB just put the man in the right position. Having Fear at QB is holding this man back”

Farah on Shady – Shady has been victim of stacked boxes all madden long but yet he still continues to produce on offense and he consistently is one of the best users on defense.

Gabe on Shady – “By far 1 of the most well rounded and skilled players in the league. I have confidence in him to do pretty much anything. Didn’t have as much success this madden as we are used to seeing from him which is why he’s not higher but skill wise he’s up there with any1”

EboK on Shady – “One of the best RB/LB/DB users in the league but his stats are ASS this madden.”

17) Redwater

Gabe on Redwater – “Very good overall user with ability to play high level at basically every position aside from qb. Has been a staple in the community for over 10 years now and is still producing.”

Realest on Redwater – Good player for a line 2 , Does well at RB and WR and this madden made the transition from LB to DL where he seemed to be more comfortable , Stat Sheet Guy!

EboK on Redwater – “Good RB/WR/DL user & won WRoty.”

Koolaidz on Redwater – “LB god turned into DL demon. Great personality and always knows how to produce at a high level, an amazing addition to any squad”

16) ungluedtiger

Farah on Tiger – Tiger is one of the best RBs in the league and shows that ability is sometimes more important than availability

Gabe on Tiger – “1 of the best rbs In the league who does not get as much credit as he should. Constantly produces elite #s every season no matter who he is using. I’m a fan”

Realest on Tiger – Always puts up great numbers at running back , mid defensively in my opinion. Always seemed like a ME ME ME type of guy but overall one of the better RBs in the league

EboK on Tiger – “Top 5 RB skill wise but never won an award. Would be higher if he did.”

Koolaidz on Tiger  – “Shitcan <3”
