I’m just here so I don’t get fined. Haha

You have assembled a full VFL roster, you think that will work out fine for you in the long run?

Oh it’s going to work great, having TMO and The Brisket as top 5 DCs on my roster along with critical, woohdy, Redhour, Kwame? This roster is a SB roster! Also can’t forget Warpath, he gets a lot of shit but he’s a great clock manager along with icing the game when needed (top 5).

Who do you believe will be your teams mvp?

Honestly I’m not sure, we got to many ballers over here.

What team do you want to see if you play in the Super Bowl?

I would love a beachmode, wace vs lucky, and warpath matchup but besides that I don’t care.

Any final remarks as we go into this season?

A lot of people counted the Bucs out before the season started so my only remark is. We are going to make you eat those words.

As one of the top teams in madden, y’all have struggled in the first 2 weeks. What’s not working?
As for us struggling with the first two weeks ummm we’re just not locked in honestly and haven’t been locked in since the preseason tournament.
Is there any locker room problems or chemistry issues? What needs to be addressed?
No looker room issues other than lack of communication. Only this that needs to be addressed is take the league a bit more seriously.
Do you believe yall can turn this poor start around? If so, how?
  We have the user talent and I think we’ve just beat our self to start the season with mental mistakes. Without any doubt we will turn this bad start around and end up n the top 5. My team is completely new to the 3s league.

GOTW 2 Recap

In the first game, the Saints won with a score of 27-14, while in the second game, the Buccaneers emerged victorious with a score of 34-17. The Saints advanced to 3-1, while the Buccaneers remain even at 2-2.
Both games were fairly close, but one was closer than the other. The Buccaneers continue to struggle in closing out games with a win on both sides. However, they did manage to hand the Saints their first loss of the year. We interviewed the OC of the Saints, Wace, and Woohdy of the Buccaneers.
Doubling the saints score, yall got 34 points in your game. What was working all game? Winning this game allows yall to split the series. What needs to improve as the season continues?
Woohdy – Our offense just flowed. Warpath called a GREAT gameplan. Me and Mo just listened and did what we needed to. Defensively we know we have one of the top DCs in the league so we just need to lock in and do our jobs as well. They got some SUPER lucky TDs but we didn’t panic. We just let warpath call his game and we knew we’d be fine. As for the season continuing and building on that, we just need to be consistent. Lucky hasn’t found his stride yet with the moving parts, but now he that he has more solidity with his line, once brisket gets back into the flow of reg 3s they’ll be fine. 
 Congrats on a great Gotw win, what went right during the game?
Wace :
Appreciate it btw you my fav guy in the media, but what went right? Our defense IBprofam calls a helluva game I had 3 picks 2 pick 6s and a forced fumble Johnny has a great user to take away the RB TE side and IB locks down the middle he has a few picks this season so yea we lock down we are #1 in turnovers I believe, and on offense we were also great scored 3 TDS 2 passing 1 rushing Johnny honestly to me is the best WR in this league. And our Rb IB ran all over them for 5 a carry on 12 carries for that TD
You are continuing to prove you are a proven winner. What do you need to do to continue this success?
Wace – See pork I’m haven’t truly won anything yet until I win the SB, I strive to be the Mahomes of this new league win mvp and a SB in my first 2 years and then after the ring I’ll call myself a champ, so yes I’m a winner but not proven until a ring which will be tough with certain teams and players in the league cause half the league are losers

GOTW 2

In this week’s two matchups, we have the 1-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers facing off against the 2-0 New Orleans Saints.

Nobody is favored in this one as votes are currently tied at 10-10; the split vote is 6.

The Saints are coming in hot and feeling good after sweeping Jacksonville, while the Buccaneers had an impressive win over the Packers, pitching the season’s first shutout.

The Buccaneers’ offensive coordinators for both lines proved they could put up points. Although one of the Buccaneers’ lines pitched the shutout, the other line allowed 42 points. They faced early adversity, which could be a good sign moving forward. New Orleans had two games where they took control and kept their foot on the pedal. They are coming into this game with a lot of momentum. I feel as if it will go down to the wire.

We asked team owner Lucky Dimez about this matchup he had this to say:

Honestly I just think Bucs is a better overall team so I think we have the advantage there. I have nothing but respect for the saints team as far as the users but Bucs is taking this series tonight 2-0, and nothing they can do about it tbh. Beachmode is a homie but he told me before the season wace was getting picked up before me so this is a revenge game for me.

When we asked Beachmode this was his reply:

The matchup against the Buccs is going to be a great matchup. Lucky is a friend and was the first owner to give me a real shot to play on my early team play years. We both know each other tendencies so whether it’s us laced up against one another or the other line the intel will be there. Look for a close series of games however you already know these saints coming for blood this year. Whether it’s my line or Wace line we balling out #WhoDat?!

1. What are a couple things you have enjoyed so far from the merge? Any VFL guys impressed ya?

I’ve enjoyed having enough people in the league to where we can have 128 players on a main roster/practice squad. The guys I drafted (koolaidz, farah and tiger) have shown really good things and have lived up to the intel I was given pre-draft. Haven’t seen many others play yet or enough.

2. What type of team do you think you assembled? Heavy run? Air raid? Lockdown D? Etc.

 Both offenses from what I’ve seen enjoy a balanced run/pass approach and don’t mind the occasional long ball. I’d argue Philly has 2 of the top 4 or 5 DCs in the league as well.

3. Who is your MVP favorite on your team? Why?

 Koolaidz would be my favorite so far, offensive award and he’ll be up there all year.

4. What team are you looking forward to facing? Why?

Ourselves, because I believe if we don’t beat ourselves that we can beat anybody.

5. Super Bowl prediction?

Answering as if our team didn’t exist, I’d pick the Cowboys.

This team is destined to suck! First off team owner can’t even spell kobe properly. Second, he’s bound to find some way to bend the rules and get suspended 30 seconds into his first game. They drafted a bunch of mut guys, and there’s no way to pay to make your team better Herr.
15. Ravens
Speaking of, these fuckers wouldn’t let me pay for the Ravens, so I had a voodoo shaman put a curse on them. Word around the league is Ruggz has no thumbs. I’ve also read somewhere that the users suck, seems valid.
14. the Cleveland Villians
The GM is to busy crying about power rankings and how it takes to much time to make sure the offensive line isn’t fucked up. Not like your playing for money boss man. They do have Dime who is a beastly wr user. I’ve seen man snag balls out of triple coverage like he was taking candy out his gms hands. Also, Hero is the greatest. So of course there’s that.
13. Packers
Wish I wasn’t lazy, would rewrite this to put them in last. Reason: Blunkey. Not writing anymore.
12. Saints
First off Wace is the goat, but I always read that his team fucked him. So it’s bound to happen. Make no mistake though, whatever happens, it wasn’t his fault. Beachmode will probably get blamed because he’s to nice to say otherwise.
11. Seahawks
To begin, Lurker is gonna be to busy planning date nights with me to worry about madden, so already off to a rough start. Dj will probably get in some calvin ridley style gambling suspension so now your down 2 users. Guess the rest of you boys better try and fix this sinking ship.
10. 49ers
Top 10 49ers. Great team for a balanced team and have some balanced OCs. Don’t know or dislike any of their users enough to have any fun with this, but braves hates me so bottom of the top 10 it is. (Send me some flowers and you’ll move way up the board here)
9. Bucs
Listen, we suck. I wanted to put us at number 1 just to piss everyone off, but even I couldn’t lie that much. So low tier top 10 it is. Woohdy is a bully, our dcs are awful, our qbs both play blindfolded. Not much else to say. Team of shitters.
8. Jags
I heard hucci bullied abyss into playing with the jags over the lions. Makes sense, hucci is a known gigantic asshole. Always fighting with everyone. Nate, ponchy, dfeet, sac. God just take only vfl ppl for your team. Seems leagueist to me. But they are good enough to not be shit. Good job abyss.
7. Chiefs
Everyone knows pre season is nothing to bother paying attention to. This team is goated. Mahomes alone will win them this league. Only thing dropping them to 7 is not having a single legitimate qb user on their team. Typically a bad idea when you draft a team based on the qb.
6. Dolphins
They have Kuhrow on their practice squad. If he gets 1 game of play time, they are winning it all. Grof and Marx will make Magic happen with this team. Maje will be rookie of the year at dc. But can they get any balls downfield with tuas noodle arm? Remains to be seen.
5. Cowboys
I got FIVE ooonnnn it! North is going to go crazy with pollard. Jukebox is insane this year as we all know. Team has abilities everywhere. Also, they have porkside on the team. Bbq is huge in Texas (almost as good as here in KC) so you know they goin crazy with the Cowboys.
4. Chargers
Another VFL team. Yay, so much fun. Child and rivals gonna retire like 10 minutes after this article comes out. Beaste is DEFINITELY getting banned for his brother selling fake pokemon cards or some shit. And brady is going to forget what a corner route is and die. But they will still somehow get to the playoffs and lose to the superbowl team because rivals decided to unretire, but then forgot he had an apex tournament during the win ir go home game.
3. Bills
Von is going to show that 2k skills are all that’s needed in madden. I don’t know the rest of these guys so they are clearly all ringers he brought in to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And they all forgot how to kick.
2. Bengals
Orbi never stops talking so Joka won’t be able to call plays in the huddle so that line is gonna get fucked up in the superbowl. But they are good enough to get there through sheer force of will and xbox mute buttons.
1. Eagles
The commish is on this team. Listen Mr goodell-thompson. I put you at number 1 just like you told me. I get my weekly paycheck now, right?
Despite these rankings. The chiefs are going to win the superbowl due to ref interference and to sell 3VL merchandise. Sorry to spoil it.

GOTW 1 Recap

After a comeback in the final seconds, the Bengals advance to 1-0, while the Eagles fall to 0-1. There is still game 2 to come. Will the Eagles bounce back in game 2? Or will the Bengals go for the game of the week sweep?

We had a post-game interview with quarterback Joka and running back Tiger.

Unbelievable comeback victory! What changed between the first and second half? Any play in particular that you remember being the game-changer? What has to improve going forward?

Joka: Honestly, one of my worst performances in a long time, but I do think with our teammate lagging out changed the momentum. But we came together and didn’t give up. I give full credit to my teammates. Glad we got the win. I don’t see myself playing like that again in the future, lol.

Phenomenal game of the week down to the wire. Had a pretty typical Tiger performance, what was working? Unfortunately, y’all didn’t come out with the win. What was the biggest factor in that? What has to change going forward?

Tiger: Stretches were able to give me time to read and find holes. Running routes out of the backfield was also pretty successful. Defensively, Sin had a good scheme. Ultimately, it came down to never playing in a game together and a miscommunication on the last play of the game. We just have to have our line with the chemistry and know each other’s play styles. It’s easy to swap head coaches in and out week in and week out, but an offensive coordinator or a defensive coordinator is definitely something you want to keep consistent.

GOTW Week 1 S1

Game of the Week Pre Game In Week One’s game of the week, we have Swaggy’s Philadelphia Eagles going up against Solo’s Cincinnati Bengals. The Eagles are favored 18-13, with a 5-point vote that they split wins throughout the two lines. Both teams are looking forward to a strong start to kick off the season. We interviewed both team owners, and this is what they had to say about the game.

Joka –

It should be an easy win for us if our defense can get some stops. We have had a little problem on defense, but Solo is adjusting, and we will be fine. I’ll put up points; it’s not a question.

 

Swaggy –

I think it’s going to be a fun challenge right off the bat. I’m sending my all VFL lineup (Koolaidz, Farah, and Tiger) up against arguably the best all 3FL lineup in the league. It’ll be interesting to see how their play styles match, considering that from what I’ve seen, both are very different. As for my lineup’s game (Me, Thompson, and Sin) tomorrow vs. the Bengals’ second lineup, I just hope to be playing for a sweep. That’s always the mentality regardless of difficulty, and Cincy presents a challenge regardless of who they throw at us.
