Da Raiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiders (Chris Berman voice) come in as my 4th ranked team. Some of you newer people may not remember from season one that the “we ball” gang took these same Raiders (well, with WR Henry Ruggs) to the superbowl in season 1. They may not have Ruggs anymore but they replaced him with another speedster Desean Jackson (95 speed). They arguably have the best quarterback in the league (depending on your values, but an accurate passer with 91THP is awesome). The running back solid in Josh Jacobs and they have a decent receiving back in Kenyan Drake. The offensive line could be a problem. The ranks were based off for sure starters but like the Eagles, Richie Incognito isn't factored into the algorithm. If they can sub him in they climb the ranking abit. It's funny that the higher my rankings go the more you forget to bring up they even have an Xfactor tight end in Darren Waller. Stud!
Defensively they don't have any huge name players BUT they have a solid core that with decent users should do fine. Well… aside from linebacker (yikes). Maxx Crosby (LE) and Yannick Ngakoue are good players to have coming off the edge. They also have one of my favorite defensive backs in Casey Hayward (still can't believe the Packers let him walk years ago, imaging him with Jaire) and the youngster Trayvon Mullen Jr. The safeties aren't terrible to user either in Abram (92 speed), and Moehrig (90 speed).
Mr Ohio has a good team here and if he has an impressive draft this is going to be a team that could be scary. This might be as close to gun slinger as there is in the league this season. I'd like to see him draft a good running back to try and get the most from Jacobs, especially if they can sub in Incognito at guard. Defensively go and get a pass rusher who can dominate with Crosby. This team was a steal at the 6th pick in the draft.
Former owner for 2 seasons, Beach will make a good 3rd line QB for someone this season.
Back from a long layoff, dtm was always 1 of the top qbs and players in general in the previous leagues. That type of consistency and madden iq doesn't just go away. I expect with some labbing and scrims he'll find his way back to being a top qb very soon.
Smyth filled in for the Bills last season and did surprisingly well. Hopefully he can continue to improve and help a team make playoffs.
On the Panthers last season, Mac started rough but finished the season strong with 5 straight wins. He went 0-2 in the playoffs but after a full season under his belt, I can see him being a strong QB for someone.
Coming off 2 straight Super Bowl losses, Boogs will be in the draft for the first time in 3 seasons. Solid QB and can help a team make the Super Bowl.
Has a nice scheme. Gets users involved. Sometimes goes for the big play too much. Does not adjust the line well and needs to work on that. He will get u to the redzone often. Dependable qb.
Marc went 3-0 in the Season 3 playoffs on his way to winning a Super Bowl with the KC Chiefs. After switching to WR for a season, he is back as a top prospect at the QB position. Great game manager and plays above average at LB.
Very smart qb, knows how to beat man, cover3, cover 2. Can struggle against the top tier user pass rushers but is actively working to improve. Always looking to lab and get better. A real up and coming qb
He is the only QB that beat Abyss's line last season in the regular season. If Omni continues to improve, he will be a top QB very soon. Doesn't make a ton of mistakes and that's all you can ask for.
Stepping in for the Bills last season, Mo was doing so well that everyone called him "mocarbeaste". He's been around since season 1 but remains under the radar as a good QB.
Sac made his return to the VFL last season. He was a good QB in the older maddens and if this last season has any indication, he will continue to be a good QB for whoever drafts him. Super Bowl winning QB with the Packers and had a phenomenal season.
Top Free agent QB, Ty. He's a very smart and safe qb. Knows how to manage the game and gets user involved. He will get you wins and is very knowledgeable. He has proven that he can be a Number 1 Line QB after winning the Super Bowl this past season.
noteable mentions: Highwalker (great player haven't seen him at QB). Ezakimak (been around a long time, making his QB debut). Redhour (Good RB DL, not the best at QB).
Super bowl champion minotaur will more than likely be picked up by Grof again. Not a lot to say, he fits well within that line.
After winning the Super Bowl season 2 with the Browns, JAD is making a return to the league and should be a good pickup for anyone.
Fills in wherever and is available for all games. Solid player.
A top MVP candidate for 2 straight seasons, breesuss is moving to WR to switch things up a bit. He's a good madden player so I expect him to be a top WR next season.
bloody fixed his connection which was the only thing holding him back before. He had a good season with the seahawks and is a very good DL.
Haden is as chill as they come. Great player and won't complain for the ball.
Good at finding holes in zone and beating man. Favorite route is definitely the curl route vs zone. Will work back to a scrambling qb
Very smart wr he knows his way on the field. Knows route concepts and underrated blocker. Gets open and doesn't overlap cpu routes.
Brisket-never complains as a user wr, will give constant feedback to how people are trying to guard him. Man coverage=toast.
JP has been a top player for a long time. Plays very well on both sides of the ball and is arguably the best DB in the league.
One of the best DL in the league every season. Chill dude and does whatever the QB needs. Very good route runner.
Always thinking from the wr spot. Don't have to give him a lot of instruction, will adjust routes mid play to take advantage of zone depths or the user. One of the best DCs in the league.

Ryan Fitzpatricks Washington Football Team comes in as my 5th ranked team! This team was an interesting pick taken at 2 this season. The quarterback and runningback are ALMOST the worst. The offensive line is average which should help even out how bad those two positions are, but they have one of my favorite players at receiver in Scary Terry (Mclaurin). Talk about a beast! He reminds me of a young Deandre Hopkins in that he still puts up numbers even with trash quarterbacks.
Defensively these guys have some fun players. Its a very similar team to yesterdays Pittsburgh Steelers. The defensive line features superstar Chase Young, Jonathan Allen, Da'Ron Payne, and Montez Sweat. They even have a third DT in Matthew Ioannidis who's an 80 OVR! I'm rushing five every play, I don't care. Looking through the roster I couldn't find a linebacker worth talking about (Holcomb??). But the secondary has a few bright spots in Kendall Fuller (88OVR) and William Jackson (84). Having Landon Collins (SS) in the box should be fun, too.
This team has some fun talent on both sides of the ball. As much as I don't like Fitzpatrick I don't think that Beaste would have chose this team if he didn't feel like he was alright. He will need to draft two other good quarterbacks to be successful this season. On defense I'm looking, again, for some monster defensive line users. It should be really fun for them getting to the quarterback all season against these weak offensive lines. Could he have traded back and still picked them? I think so. But as owner of the Super Bowl winning Browns in season 2, I won't question him too much.
It’s back! After the conclusion to season 4 (Congrats Packers), It’s time to take a look at our season 4 ratings. There have been slight modifications and key assumptions to take into account so ill go ahead and get started.
Slight tweaks were made this season to help balance offense and defense points.

Just like last year, once the calculation is made, a total point value (TPV) is determined to players starting overall. Compared to last years, this season is giving a more precise rating.
The TPV of all players in season 4 ranged from 0 to 600. There isn’t a minimum threshold this season. If a players stat is recorded, its reflected on this article.

Last season he played WR to help the team, look for Fig to prove his worth as a RB this season.
A solid player that doesn't have an ego. Never talks in the chats so he will continue to fly under the radar.
A veteran of the team up community, easty plays for whoever and fills in wherever he is needed.
Kdot has been in the league quietly for a few seasons. He will play whatever the team needs and from what I hear, he's a good teammate.
A surprising year for Jon, he performed well but was on one of the less than stellar teams this past season. If John gets drafted to play on a good line, he should have a great season.
Clutch was a top RB playing with Beaste for the first few seasons. He stuck around last season without beaste and still had a strong year. A very good DC as well.
Last season, rusty surprised a lot of people. He had a very solid year and capped it off by winning the Super Bowl.
Willy has been around the VFL for a long time. Seeing him at number 5 isn't surprising as he is a top DL and can carry the workload at RB.
One of the best RBs that nobody talks about. Nate was apart of the SB winning team season 3 and on the losing end of the SB season 4.
After an average season with the Bucs, North looks to regain his former RBoTY status this upcoming season. Solid at DL but at this moment he is signed up at QB.
Monster of a DL, BLK, is a top tier RB as well. He's coming off a Super Bowl championship on a line with Ty and Orlando. I can see BLK winning RBOTY in the right situation.
Reigning RB of the Year, Smoove has been a top RB since he joined the league. Very good vision and plays great at DB as well. Should be a top 10 selection in the draft this season.
noteable mentions: Highwalker (great player haven't seen him at QB). Ezakimak (been around a long time, making his QB debut). Redhour (Good RB DL, not the best at QB). King Logic (signed up at RB, good player and DC)
Pittsburgh Steelers

6th Ranked Team (Picked 7th)
Positional Ranks
Quarterback 7th
Running Back 6th
Receiving Core 5th
Offensive Line 9th
Front Seven 1st
Back End 9th
The Pittsburgh Steelers come in at 6th in my rankings today! The offense doesn't have much to offer aside from superstar wide receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Najee Harris. It will be hard to run the ball with this offensive line. The quarterback isn't very good either coming in at 74 overall with 85 throw power. Maybe there will be some face catching attempts thrown at wide receiver Chase Claypool (6'4”).
The front seven has the best players you will see in the league this season. A few of the notable players are defensive player of the year TJ Watt (LOLB 96OVR), superstar x-factor Cameron Heyward (RE 94OVR), Stephon Tuitt (LE 86 OVR), Tyson Alualu (DT 82OVR), and Devin Bush (MLB 90 speed). The secondary is arough spot on this team but they do have a really good player in susperstar Minkah Fitzpatrick (FS 89OVR).
This team has a LOT of good players on it. I'm not sure many teams will be able to run the ball on them or even really block this front four. In the draft I think Sir Bottomis should be looking for good quarterbacks who can dink-and-dunk and manage the game. On defense he needs to find some good defensive line users to blow up every play before it begins. He should be able to have a good season as long as he has a good draft!
I’ve found some old content that I figured you would all enjoy.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Owner: Areis
7th Ranked Team (Picked 5th)
Positional Ranks:
Quarterback 6th
Running Back 8th
Receiving Core 9th
Offensive Line 4th

Back End 5th
The Eagles come in as my 7th ranked team in the draft. This is where things got hard for me with so many teams coming up that I grade close together. One thing I really like on this offense is the offensive line (especially if they are able to sub Brandon Brooks in). Other than that they have an OK running back, a fast but weak armed QB in Jalen Hurts, and some low overall receivers. I think that the offense will thrive off big plays from players like Devonta Smith and Quez Watkins (98 Speed).
On the defensive line you will find two good players in Javon Hargrave, Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox. The secondary also has some good players like superstar Darius Slay and corner Avonte Maddox (93 Speed). There is nothing to talk about at linebacker on this team, but I could see the defensive line causing some issues this year against some fairly weak offensive line play.
The Eagles are really good in the trenches which helps them be a balanced football team. Areis needs to find himself some good receivers in the draft to utilize the speed this team has. On defense the biggest need would be a good user linebacker to figure out what to do on that second level. This team has some game-changing pieces on it that with right draft picks could do some real damage. It's nice to see another team with a good kick returned in Quez Watkins.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

8th Ranked Team (Picked 9th)
Positional Ranks
Quarterback 4th
Running Back 7th

Back End 1st
The Patriots being ranked this low may come as a surprise because looking at the positional ranks you might think that this team was a steal in the draft! But then I dug deeper... The offensive line is one of the best in the league. Aside from that they have our second noodle armed quarterback this season in Mac Jones (85 Throw Power). Their running back is below average, but their receiving core looks like it must be really great........if they run a dual tight end set? There is no speed to be found on this offense.
On defense I'm thinking they will be subbing in Matthew Judon (edge threat) and possibly Dont'a Hightower on the opposite side of him to rush the passer. The other superstar players to look out for are free safety Devin McCourty and cornerback JC Jackson. I'm not sure if they can sub in Jonathan Jones in or not but if they can this will be a LOCKDOWN secondary. I don't know WHO is going to be the linebacker on the field. We will have to wait and see.
This team reminds me a lot of Season 4's Los Angeles Rams team. I think it will be a struggle to win with this team if you don't play perfect on offense. Games will need to be won on defense with this team. When it comes to the draft I think they will need to find some running backs that don't need ball carrier moves to be successful and to take advantage of that offensive line. On defense they need good defensive line users. If they can make some quarterbacks get rid of the ball before they want to they have the secondary to make them pay.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Owner: Game Green
9th Ranked Team (Picked 7th, but technically 10th because they missed their pick?)
Positional Ranks
Quarterback 3rd
Running Back 5th
Receiving Core 10th
Offensive Line 6th
Front Seven 9th
Back End 10th
The Atlanta Falcons are barely edging out yesterdays Dolphins for the 9th spot in these rankings. The two things I like most about this team on offense are running back Cordarrelle Patterson and tight end Kyle Pitts. I think the two weak spots on offense are the wide receivers and Matt Ryans noodle arm (although he does have OK throwing stats it's hard to get behind 85 throw power). The offensive line is just average.
Defensively, there are many holes on this team. No position group stands out BUT they do have a few playmakers in: defensive end Grady Jarrett, two 90 speed linebackers in Deion Jones and Foyesade Oluokun, and the highest rated player on their team, cornerback AJ Terrell Jr (87 Overall). Even though their secondary is weak they do have three defensive backs above 92 speed for what that is worth. Like the Dolphins, they also have an awesome kick returner in Cordarrelle Patterson. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some return touchdowns from them as well.
This team has some playmakers on it with the right users. The quarterback won't wow with deep shots but will be accurate. Aside from Alvin Kamara I think Patterson is the best receiving back in the league. Game Green will have to draft a good receiving back to elevate this offense. Sure, a great user receiver is nice to have, but I'm not sure how much that will help this team. On defense they can get by with some good users in the draft. There's a good player on each level for users to maximize the defenses potential. It's too bad that he missed his pick in the team draft but I don't think it could have worked out much better for him.

These are a list of players who are first round talent and should be selected as so; owners from the Bucks, 76ers, Warriors, Lakers, and Grizzlies should not let any of them get passed the first round. They rarely speak because they may have a certain team they want to go to or certain Owners hoping they fall in the draft; their talent will speak for themselves.

To kick things off, the Miami Dolphins come in as my 10th ranked team. They have some real bright spots on the team, but a lot of deficiencies. One of the things I really liked about this team is the receiving core featuring Jaylen Waddle (97 Speed), Will Fuller (95 Speed), Devante Parker, and tight end Mike Gesicki. The issues I have with the team starts with the offensive line with a cumulative rating of 68 a crossed the board. They also have worst starting quarterback in Tua with only 86 throw power, and the worst running back in the league in Philip Lindsay. Luckily he is 92 speed with 99 carrying, so maybe he isn't as bad as his 74 overall suggests.
Defensively there's only one position group that stands out being the secondary featuring superstar cornerback Xavien Howard. He's the only superstar on the team. Other notable players in the secondary are Byron Jones and the rookie safety Jevon Holland. What I was struggling to find were playmakers along their below average front seven. Another thing to watch for is Jaylen Waddle on kick returns. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some touchdowns on special teams from him this season.
This team has potential but it is going to need the right pieces. Ebok is going to have his hands full come draft time with perhaps his biggest need being excellent users on defensive line and linebacker to make up for the lack of talent on their front seven. Offensively he's going to need some users to get sticky at running back and wide receiver..... as well as someone who will be good with Tua..... or Jacoby Brissett? I think this team may have fallen later in the draft and he possibly could have traded back to get a higher pick(s) in the player draft and still have landed them.
* With the opinions of 10 individuals who wish to remain anonymous, here is a list compiled of what we believe are people every owner should go after*
This is a center heavy draft. There is roughly 20 centers that are solid. The skill gap between the top 10 - 15 centers isn’t huge. Therefore, I would target PGs first. There is a HUGE lack of talent in the guard department. It was painfully hard to think of a top 5, let alone top 10 Point Guard.
The list will be followed by honorable mentions and names to look for
TOP 10 POINT GUARDS
1. SwitzoSn The other 9 people agreed he is a Solid Pro AM player who can adjust to the Team-Up environment; comfortable with a star. the stick skill is there compared to the talent in this league but will he be reliable?
2. Big WadeO
Has experience in multiple leagues from 2kGodz, EBA, and VBA. He is a veteran when it comes to team-up and has the ability to produce as a star. He also has the ability to play any position and be above average. His top destinations may be with the 2kGodz crew themselves; whether FoexMacc or King Mizzark.
3. Jvmper7620 According to the others who helped create the list, this is another Pro-AM PG that has the ability to adjust to Team-Up. With High Game IQ, rotational defense, and ability to score, he lands here.
4. PookDog He is known to be an extremely solid player within the 2k Community. People have not seen him play but with a high game sense, he has the ability to adjust quickly. Will he play without his friends in FAB or MIZZARK?
5. Movss X From the few in-houses that he has played, he may be a sleeper. He has not had a bad performance yet. However, playing against a communicating team of 5 is completely different than an inhouse. Will he succeed then?
6. ISeeCapBoy I do not believe he has the ability to take over games but he is extremely solid. May need certain players to produce at a high level. In this league that lacks talent at guard, he will definitely be of use to any team that looks his way.
7. Aceboogs He is a pretty good score first PG; He is still learning dribbles so he has potential. He is definitely a better scorer than passer. His passing and defense need work. His downfall is the ability to make only one read towards the center; in a rotation defense, he may struggle.
8. xLoad SL He is also another Pro-AM player. He can play any position and has played against organized teams before and has done fairly well; Is he a byproduct of his system or will he be able to shine anywhere?
9. x KING J0N x He is well known to be a dominant center; if he is willing to play big for your team, he is Top 3 in that position without discussion. However, he signed up at guard. I do not know if he is trolling but he has potential at PG. He is very inconsistent; he may give a 30 and 10 game but next game a 5 and 15 game. He has a lot to learn. His top destinations may be Goodfella Joker, King Mizzark, or oFab.
10. KXNG CHAMP
He has always was above average at PG in every 2K; he has the ability to adapt. In terms of scoring, this 2K is not hard; guards can score at will in the paint if the center does not time his jump. The only question is whether he will play without Farah En Fuego or King Klay.
TOP 10 WINGS
1. Woohdy v2 He is without a doubt a user who has stick skill; He can be comfortable on a star and produce. However, there are multiple complaints that he is toxic. If we're talking user skill out of Free Agent wings, he is up here. If we are taking personalities into account, he drops a bit.
2. GB King Jet He is a super underrated player; he may possibly be the best wing/big in the draft with all the top users accepting Owner and GM. He has the stick skill, he has the game IQ, and has the ability to change a game. He plays in multiple parties with random players which shows he will play with anyone. He is definitely a must have. FoexMacc will most likely be pursuing him.
3. Nacho "Suge" Traynor He is without a doubt the best personality in the draft and will play with anyone. He is a former professional player and still has professional experience in coaching. He has the ability to play a superstar and produce; He has high game IQ. The only issue is whether or not he tries. He tends to troll a lot and may find this league for fun.
4. BAMAxx He is not a superstar but he is definitely a great role player. He understands how to rotate on defense and can shoot with anyone; I have not seen him shoot poorly yet. He is also not toxic. He is definitely a must grab for a team.
5. BLK SUPERSAIYAN He is a great role player that can do a mixture of everything. He is way better at shooting guard and is very similar to BAMA. He can definitely be the difference maker for a team since he knows how to rotate on defense and help the helper.
6. Viintage 2k He has the ability to play the superstar and produce a bit, but we think he makes a better role player. He is in the similar area between BAMA and BLK. They do not have an ego but will be a difference maker when rounding out a team.
7. DEVO228 The skill gap between the wings are not huge. He is similar to everyone on the list outside of the top three. However, he is also a FOExMACC friend so will he be able to play without him?
8. ClutchxKing Outside of the top three players, the skill distinction is very minimal. He is a very good plug and play player. He knows the concept of rotations and will do very well assisting the top players.
9. Stimothy T He has potential to be a star player in this league. Outside of the five games people has seen him play, he has been very productive. The only question is whether he will be able to play without Fear Painkiller.
10. xXx MJ313 He has had years of experience from team up as well as proam. He is an exceptional help defender and one of the better players in the draft. The question is whether or not he will play without LOM5STAR or Goodfella Joker.
TOP 10 CENTERS
1. MRxxUSERxxPICKx If he signs up, he will be the best player in the draft. He will deny and say he has not played in years and is not worth it. However, as a former 2K Pro, he is exceptional at every position. Give him a star, give him a line, and get out of the way. The question is whether or not he will play without Fab, Mizzark, Goodfella Joker, or LOM5STAR. Those will be his destinations if he does sign up.
2. GEEE MONEY He recently got back to 2K and will be a top center once he gets acclimated. He had a solid performance on his first center game against competent users. Once someone has high game knowledge, playing this game is like riding a bike. The question is whether or not he will play anywhere other than KING MIZZARK.
3. Kuhrow Most people know him as a wing player but he is far better at big in my opinion. He is one of the few players who do not have a preference on where to go and will play anywhere. He is still getting acclimated to the position but he will dominant once the season comes. Pair him with a dominant ball handler and that line may not lose that many games. He may be the best passing big in the draft. Look at destinations like the Philadelphia 76ers.
4. Post Kobe (eBoKTsoP) He is in a similar stance as Traynor. If he does not troll, he is one of the better players in this league. I think he is a great center and it is probably his best role. He is without a doubt the best shooting center that I have seen so far. His top destinations may be the Miami Heat or Brooklyn Nets. I do not think he has the patience for other teams.
5. DatBoyKelz
He is a good all around big. Understands the game at a high level and is a great defender. The big issue is that he has a tendency to not show up due to real life stuff and may quit mid season. His availability due to work is not the greatest either. Look for destinations like the Phoenix Suns, the Memphis Grizzlies, or the Los Angeles Clippers.
6. Revolves SZN He is a great under the basket center who will guarantee you rebounds and points. He may not pass out frequently enough and will mash despite a miss. He may get exposed in a 5 out offense but he is definitely an extremely solid center. Look for him to become a Boston Celtic as he is FOExMACC boy. Either him or King Jett will be his top 2 picks.
7. Farah En Fuego He has been one of the most consistent centers in every 2K and I expect this one to be no different. He has high game IQ and has played in all levels of competition. However, he is not a plug and play player. He may want to go primarily to the Miami Heat. Evidently, whatever team he goes to, he is a package deal with Kxng Champ, and Kxng Klay.
8. Ruthless x252x He is a household name throughout the 2K Team Up community and is well deserved to be anywhere from a first round to a second round pick. He is great at defense and is definitely a top center. He has the ability to play the wing as well. However, as most top guys, he has his own crew. I do not know if he will play anywhere outside of the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies, or Phoenix Suns. He may try to lay low so they can draft him in the lower rounds.
9. VONTHEGAMER This man plays with anyone and everyone. He is a pretty good all around center. He has some faults in the pick and roll defense but he is one of the better centers in the league. He is definitely one of the better passers and will make the right read at a high level. He can score really well but is a byproduct of the system he is in. He will only shine with certain talent around him. He can land anywhere from the Los Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics, the Phoenix Suns, or the Memphis Grizzlies. The reason he drops this far is because he is a better center than wing but he may look to play wing this season.
10. ooJAYDUBoo He has pretty good game IQ and compared to the other players in this league, he is definitely above average. He is not dominant but he will do his job at his position. The question is whether or not he will play if he is not selected to the Miami Heat or Brooklyn Nets. 11. KURUPTED NYX I know this is a top 10 but he recently signed up. He has been consistent in every 2K and is one of the best players in the player draft. He signed up at center and may dominate with how influential center is within this years team up. However, he has always been known to play point guard or wing at a high level; compared to the talent level of this league, he is way above average.

The Bucks have the best player in the game with Giannis !! Giannis can almost do it all and is an unstoppable force that any team will have to gameplan for every game. Add that with Shooters surrounding him with 80+ or higher 3, this team is dangerous under a really good Giannis user.
The Bucks also have a lot of great defenders and versatility in terms of lineup changes and different playstyles that the team can go to. The team can play Small and have Giannis play Center with 4 Wings, go with a very big lineup with Giannis at the 3 with Ibaka/Lopez and Portis, or play the traditional lineup with Portis and Giannis. This is scary in all areas of the game and teams facing the Bucks must prepare at all times for this great team.

2. Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets is another star-filled team with a lot of shooters surrounding. Durant is one of the easiest stars to use in the game and can attack in so many ways. Add in Kyrie with a good user and most teams cannot defend against the two. With the team's stars is a beautiful supporting cast full of shooters and solid role players. The team can be used in many different ways, from going with the traditional lineup to going with a 5-Out Approach, Big Lineups, Small ball lineups, and potentially their very own DEATH lineup if Ben Simmons and Joe Harris return to the team for this season. The only downside to this team is the lack of Perimeter Defense IF Durant is at the 4 instead of playing him at the 3 (If Simmons doesn't return). Without Durant being the primary defender, the team is very small with Brown (Despite solid On-Ball Defense) Curry, and Irving on the wing, in which a heavy perimeter team can exploit matchups.

3. Phoenix Suns
The Suns have the best Starting 5 in the league in my opinion and should be an instant plug and play with anyone who chooses them. The team has 2 of the best perimeter threats in the NBA in Booker and Paul, with both having shooting/playmaking badges to make them effective in all facets of the offense. Ayton is a great jack of all trades center who can do a bit of everything, especially in a league that may be filled with really good rebounding bigs. Add in the shooting surrounding the team with Bridges, Johnson/Crowder, and the team can be tough to guard. This team is also really good on the defensive end with Bridges, Crowder, and Paul all having Clamps to defend against heavy perimeter offensive teams. The only thing that could disturb this team is when Booker cannot get it going. this creates a lot of stress on CP3 in which someone with a good user will need to create their own shot/create their offense with his 6'0 frame.

4. Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors is by far THE BEST shooting team out there for plenty of reasons. Curry and Thompson are knockdown shooters with Jordan Poole getting a big boost and Wiggins also being a 3-Level threat, this team is probably one of the best perimeter teams in the league. With spacing and solid ball movement/passing, this team can be a nightmare to face on the Defensive end for opposing teams. Green can be a liability in a 5 out but does have a hot zone on the right side of the court, he also has great badges and stats to play the center role if the team prefers the small-ball lineup. If Green isn't the answer, the team will either have options of Looney, who has high rebounding stats and badges mixed in with a green-able 69 3 ball in the right corner or (hopefully) James Wiseman if he returns. Wiseman's size helps the Warriors in a lot of areas and still has the ability to stretch the floor out better than Green and Looney or play traditional PNR Center. The team also has a lot of bench players that can be used in different ways, which makes for various lineup changes. The team also has perimeter defenders with Thompson and Wiggins with Green who can be included in Perimeter as well.

5. Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers are extremely tough to face with a great 1-2 punch in Harden and Embiid as they both can run the offense. Add with a great supporting cast and you got a formidable team you can run with. Harden's 6'5 frame at PG is a problem in which he can bully opposing PG and even with a Lock switched down to him he can still bully or zoom past with his ball handle and speed. Embiid is the best Center in the game with the ability to rim protect, rebound, shoot, and score inside the paint area. Tobias and Maxey's combo is the perfect complement to the 2 stars as they can score individually with high shooting and also ball handling. Thybulle is one of the primer lockdowns in the league with a high steal and Perimeter Defense and can lock up the team's best offensive player. The only thing that hurts this team is the lack of size behind Embiid if he is spaced out, also Thybulle lack a 3 ball with a 74 with no shooting badges. Danny Green can replace him due to his 3-ball and defense but isn't as very fast nor have a better defense than Thybulle.

6. MIAMI HEAT
Miami may be a shocker to many in this spot but they are too good on defense to not be down far in top teams. Miami has a lot of perimeter defenders and shooting on the team, mix in Bam's build, rim protector skills, and ability to not only be a paint beast but also stretch the floor and shoot. The team also has 4 perimeter threats that can score on any given night with Butler, Herro, Lowry, and Oladipo if inserted in the lineup. Heat has great backups and different lineup changes you could implement to gain an advantage over the opponents. The Heat's only problem is the lack of a true star, Jimmy Butler is good but not true superstar level to take over a game fully compare to the other stars off other teams. Defense and team effort on both ends will be important for this team to win games.

7. Los Angeles Clippers
With the Clippers finally healthy in the game, this team is possibly one of the best defensive teams out there. Leonard/George combo is tough as they have the ability to lock up anyone on the perimeter with ease, both having Defensive Leader Badges both on GOLD to boost the supporting cast defense. What a supporting cast they have, Powell, Jackson, Kennard, Batum, Covington, Zubac, and Morris Sr can all contribute someway to the stars. Zubac isn't a star center but is solid big enough to hold his own inside. Covington is a perfect complement to the Stars with his defensive frame and abilities, Covington has Clamps, Intimidator, Interceptor, Off-Ball Pest with Shooting Badges to support the stars playmaking.
Kennard has 12 Shooting Badges with Blinders and Catch and Shoot, Morris has solid shooting badges, and Powell is a jack of all trades and would fit at the PG position.

8. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers play similar to the 76ers as the Team has a Great 1-2 punch with Lebron and AD. Lebron is still hard to stop in this game and can create opportunities with shooters surrounding the court with dimer and is still great on the defensive end. AD is more mobile/versatile big and can do everything solid with Rim Protection being the MAIN part of his game. AD has a good offensive game as well in the Post with Post Playmaker and high post control. The supporting cast is tricky but can be worked on depending on the user's skills. Melo has great shooting badges mixed in and can create on his own on the offensive end, Monk has solid shooting stats mixed with speed, Westbrook helps on the defensive end and can still help on the offensive end with his badges and speed. Bradley adds more defense on the floor with an 82 3 Ball to benefit the offense. This team can compete and win games from either end, the problem is more on the play of Lebron or the role players surrounding AD and Lebron. If Lebron not doing well, the team isn't going far its plain and simple as that.

9. Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets with a fully healthy team is scary on the offensive end. Jokic is the best offensive center in the game and with a team fully surrounded by shooters and speed, the Nuggets will be hard to contain on breaks and on the Half-Court side. Jokic is broken in every sense of the game EXCEPT Interior Defense and PNR Defense where he struggles to defend against other bigs and wing players who attack the paint. Murray (if he returns), is the second option on the team with the ability to create for others, score with shot-creating, attack the basket with a high dunk, and layup and defend against most guards. MPJ (Michael Porter JR.) with his 6'10 frame adds to the defense despite a low defensive rating, is a knockdown shooter, and can attack the rim as well. Overall, this team has a good supporting cast of bench players and different lineups that can be brought in if Murray and MPJ return in time and can be lethal in the right hands. This team however IS THE WORSE DEFENSIVE TEAM in the Top 10 due to Jokic's and the team's interior defense, perimeter defense from the wings isn't that good enough to stay in front of other teams' best stars but can be manageable with the team's size and length.

10. New Orleans Pelicans OR Memphis Grizzlies
PELICANS
Pelicans have a pure offensive team with a lot of variables to defend with Ingram, McCollum, Zion, and Valanciunas who can all shoot and attack at all levels of the court. Ingram, CJ, or Zion can score in the half-court as the primary offensive player and playmaker while Valanciunas and Zion can post up or spot up as well. This gives the team so many ways to attack defenses as they can use screens, size advantage, spacing, and cuts to drive defenses crazy. Herbert Jones is a solid defender and has wingspan with Ingram added to the wing to defend in front of players. Add McCollum shooting and shot-creating abilities with badges with Valanciunas' Screens and both McCollum and Ingram can be freed open. The only problem is the lack of true defender on the team except for Jones, No one on this team have the badge clamps or can stay in front of players for a long time.
Traditional | Small Ball |

McCollum | Graham |
Ingram/ Snell | McCollum |

Grizzlies
Memphis is a really good defensive team with a solid starting 5 with defense and shooting surrounding Ja Morant. Morant is one of the best PGs in the game with the ability to attack the rim, get into his mid-range shot, shoot threes and be a playmaker for his team. Bane is a really good shooter with an easy shot followed by Brooks' defense and semi-shooting, Jaren Jackson can play defense on all fronts with Adams being an absolute force in the paint with high offensive rebounding and finishing in the paint. The only player that can really come off the bench in my opinion is De'Anthony Melton due to his defense and shot release. The problem with this team is it will only go as far as Ja Morant will take it. The team can score off his playmaking and be a dynamic team, however, Morant needs to score around 20+ to be effective. Defense on this team is key, may struggle if Morant not doing good but they have a lot of pieces on the defensive end to keep you in a game.

Honorable Mentions
Chicago Bulls: Lonzo coming back helps the team as far as perimeter defense and gives time for Lavine and Derozan very little responsibility on the defense however, Vucevic is not a good big despite stats.
Atlanta Hawks: Trae Young and Capela combo works and the supporting cast add however they need to depend on Trae Young a lot for the offense. Defense is ok but not frustrating enough to put fear in opponents
Utah Jazz: Good Defense team with balanced shooting with a supporting cast. Gobert is the best rim-protecting big in the game and Mitchell can score despite his size, the problem is that the team doesn't have a lot of creators, especially facing a really good defense team. In any event, they do face a solid/good defensive team, the Jazz wouldn't have enough firepower to win.
Cleveland Cavaliers: Good team with Garland's Shooting and playmaking, size and length of lineups with Mobley, Love, and Allen. The team has little to no weakness and the only reason they are outside of the top 10 is pure because the other 10 teams are just better than them.
Minnesota Timberwolves: Towns is one of the top shooting badges and creates a lot of problems for the opposing team on the defensive end, Russell is the go-to guard with solid wing options with Edwards & Beasley, the team also has a solid supporting cast and good shooting. T'wolves problem is on the defensive end, the team cannot stop a star player from taking over a game.
*BAIT TEAM: CELTICS !!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TEAM UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES !!!
Giannis is the best player on the game. From badges, to speed, to rebound animations, to dunk animations. He can actually shoot now. If this team is played correctly with a 5 out offense, i think it should be without a doubt #1. Everyone else on the team can green fairly easily. The team also has insane defense between Jrue, Middleton, and Giannis himself. There are no wholes with this team which should make this an undoubtable first choice.
Preferred Lineup: Jrue Grayson Middleton Bobby Portis GIANNIS
2. NETS (W/ BEN SIMMONS)
When talking about gameplay, the dribbling on this game is horrendous compared to previous 2Ks which may hinder users on Kyrie Irving. He may have one of the worst layup animations in the game but regardless, the team is actually nuts. Kyrie has a great shot with his mid, and his fade is super easy. KD is one of the most dominant players in the game and with a good user, he is practically unguardable. He has a great rebound animation, a great pull up animation, and a great momentum. He also receives a lot of contact dunks which is important due to the strength of the paint defense this game. However, the stars are not the only factor. Seth Curry is an auto green with a smooth shot. There will be no such thing as help defense. I believe this team has the potential to be amazing. If Ben Simmons comes back, you have the ability to put him at center. The only downfall on this team is defense; Kyrie, Seth, and Bruce are liabilities in which the opposing guards can practically score at will. If Simmons does not come back, you still have
Preferred Lineup: Kyrie Seth Bruce KD SIMMONS
3. WARRIORS
In this game, anybody above 65 three can green every shot if the timing is right. With that being said, I know it sounds crazy with Curry, Poole, and Klay on the team, but the success of this team will rely heavily on the user on Green. Draymond has a hotspot in the right corner but a low three; being able to hit it consistently is key if you want to use a 5 out offense. If you cant, you’re practically useless because his contact animations at the rim aren't the greatest. In a small ball lineup, the possibility of getting horsed is high. Therefore, needing to know the timing of the box is important. Despite the difficulties, the team has extreme potential. There is amazing defense with Klay, Wiggins, and Draymond. They all have easy shots. Curry can curry slide to a quick stop, can momentum, and green fade 3s. Klay has one of the fastest shots in the game and can momentum despite being underneath the 86 ball handling threshold. Wiggins shot is extremely smooth where you cant face guard. If you do, his ability to blow by and contact dunk is scary. Poole doesn't have the quickest shot but with a bit of separation, its definitely an auto green. I think they can easily guard star players as a team, but the success will be on if the owner can get a Draymond green that can consistently hit or if they can team rebound. They have potential to be #1, but if the user on Draymond is not great, then this team might not be as deadly.
Preferred Lineup: Curry Poole Klay Wiggins DRAYMOND
4. 76ERS
Embiid is without a doubt the best big in the game. He can do a little bit of everything. His biggest issue in previous 2Ks was his shot release. It was extremely clunky and there were liabilities on his offensive game. However, they fixed it and the release is super easy with an 81 THREE. He is a center that you practically have to face guard or else he will green it. However, he is more mobile than a majority of centers so he can cut as well. He has great defense, great standing dunk contacts. He has gold post playmaker (practically dimer). Evidently, that is not the only thing that makes this team great. They have one of the easiest players to use in a one on one situation with James Harden. His step back separation move is lethal to the point where you can momentum off the last second animation. With that speed burst, he gets that blow by and he is the best guard on the game at finishing at the rim. He will either contact dunk on whoever is in front of him, or the user can switch shots mid attempt to get the foul. They have a lockdown defender in Thybulle who can take on the primary ballhandler with ease. He also can green the corner. Harris is the stereotypical PF who can green every shot. Maxey has an okay release but has a high three to make up for it. If people are uncomfortable with him, they have Danny Green to rely on. In terms of liability, they don't have any. I think this team has a great ceiling with a low skill needed to be successful.
Preferred Lineup: James Harden Maxey/Green Thybulle Harris Embiid
5. LAKERS
Lebron is great due to his strength and speed. His blow by animations is nuts but AD is even more dominant. He is one of the fastest bigs, best defensive animations, low three but easy release, great contact. There's this animation where a guard is under the paint, they can do a circus layup and it will be considered open and go in all the time unless the big jumps. AD? One of the few bigs where putting your hands up is enough. Lebron has HOF Dimer which helps tremendously. Westbrook has cold spots everywhere but an easy release. With HOF dimer, hes greening every time. Malik monk is a sniper. Carmelo is a sniper. Offensively this team is a juggernaut, defensively they arent the greatest but can hold their own. Plus, having a high speed center is so important in this game. The ability to play high and recover is extremely important. I don't think they have a true lockdown which is their downfall.
Preferred Lineup: Westbrook Malik Monk Lebron Melo AD
6. SUNS
They did Booker right. In previous teamups, you’d only be able to white the shot unless you were hot. This time? You can green everything. His contact dunk animation is nice and has a fast release on the jumper. Chris Paul is super good in my opinion. His floater is crazy. Despite his size, hes a solid defender. Bridges might be one of the best wing defenders on the game. He also has one of the smoothest shots on the game. Deandre Ayton is one of those bigs that isnt great, but he’s definitely good. Solid rebound animations, moves fast, 81 mid range, and 70 three. I think they match up well against most teams. They just aren't super dominant in one position like the teams I think are higher; I just think they’re well balanced.
Preferred Lineup: Paul Booker Bridges Cam Ayton
7. Clippers
Without Kawhi, this team isn't top 10. But with him, they definitely are. They have arguably two of the best wing defenders. This is extremely important on this game because its hard to score and fast breaks are going to be needed. PG is a monster on this game for what its worth. Marcus Morris has a good shot, and Zubac is a HORSE. I think Kennard has an easy release. I think the ability to guard any team puts this team at an advantage against the rest. If someone can wiggle with PG and Kawhi to at least get some offense, it will be a nightmare.
Preferred Lineup: Paul George Luke Kennard Kawhi Morris Zubac
8. NUGGETS
With them losing the other night, hopefully the rosters may be reset and this roster is scary to see. In my opinion, Monte Morris has the best shot in the game. Alongside Kevin Huerter from the hawks. Jamal Murray has always been pretty good. Will Barton is solid in contact dunks, can green, solid defense. Michael Porter has been one of the best players on the game every 2k despite always being hurt. He is like the modern Gerald green from previous 2ks. A straight up monster. And Jokic? This team is super scary offensively. Jokic doesn't have the smoothest shot but he sure can dominate in other aspects. This team is similar to the nets where they aren't the greatest defensively but offensively? I don't think many teams stop them.
Preferred Lineup: PG: JAMAL MURRAY SG: MONTE MORRIS SF: WILL BARTON PF: MICHAEL PORTER JR C: JOKIC
9. PELICANS
Zion is a baby Giannis. They have a similar style of play as the bucks. Vala has a high 3 as a center, can green consistently, and has great rebound animations. Ingram is a do it all wing. Can momentum. McCollum isn't the greatest “star” compared to other guards. He is slow, not the greatest at creating on this game for his size. I think it should be a two man game between Zion and Ingram w/ McCollum sitting pretty in the corner since his shot is beautiful. And they have a solid defender in Herbert Jones who can also green from corner. A 5 out with Zion or Ingram will be dangerous.
Preferred Lineup: PG: McCollum SG: Ingram SF: Jones PF: Zion C: Vala
10. HEAT
It seems like a travesty to put them this low but there is so many good teams on this 2K. This team is like another version of the suns. But instead of booker, you have jimmy. This is my favorite team to use on the game by far. This is the definition of the ability to switch everything on defense between the trio jimmy/pj/bam. They might have the best defense on the game. Their guards can green absolutely anything and everything. From 35% contested or less between herro and duncan. Kyle lowry has an extremely smooth shot. So does PJ Tucker. Jimmy Butler has a low 3 but has an easy animation to where you can green every shot. And Bam? Hes a super athletic/defensive big. Hes one of those bigs that can play high and recover. Despite his defensive prowess, he has a 69 three which is greenable with kyle lowry gold dimer and gold floor general. This team has everything you need. The reason why I have them here is that their “star” in jimmy butler is not as easy to use or dominant compared to the others. But he is still dominant in the right hands.
Preferred Lineup: Lowry Herro Jimmy PJ Tucker BAM

*CELTICS ARE A HUGE BAIT AND WILL NOT BE INCLUDED ON MY LIST
As season 4 quickly approaches, I want to take some time to reflect on the most important position in the league; The Quarterback. During seasons 1 & 2, there were talks about the league having too few skilled QBs in the league. In Season 3, staff took out Gunslinger QBs to make offenses less effective (70% comp rate in season 2). This received mixed reviews since a lot of opinions around the league thought the QB position was already difficult as is. Despite the 70% comp rate, the league’s QB was throwing more INTs to TDs (246 to 296).
As Season 3 concludes, let us take a look at the data between both seasons and determine if the QBs in the league are improving.
| Season 2 | Season 3 | Result |
Pass % | 70.35% | 69.20% | Decline |
Pass YD per COMP | 16.12 | 17.55 | Improved |
TD to INT Ratio | 0.83 | 1.17 | Improved |
Pass Yards | 38870 | 42229 | Improved |
Passing TDs | 246 | 330 | Improved |
Passing INTs | 296 | 283 | Improved |
Pass Yards per game | 269.93 | 234.61 | Decline |
Pass TDs per game | 1.71 | 1.83 | Improved |
Pass INTs per game | 2.06 | 1.57 | Improved |
QBR | 95.91 | 108.08 | Improved |
This may be a shocker to some, but in Season 3, almost every category improved compared to Season 2.
The Pass % declined by less than 1% which isn’t too dramatic.
An increase of Passing yards per completion.
the TD to INT ratio increased greatly.
The passing yards per game did decline but keep in mind the gentlemen’s code was enforced this season to prevent stat padding.
Passing TDs per game increased while the Pass INTs per game decreased.
Lastly, the QBR made a huge improvement.
It’s safe to say that the QBs in this league are becoming more efficient at running their offenses. From my own experience, I figured there was an improvement since my contributions on defense became less effective (or I just suck lol).
I’ll keep it short; Offenses will continue to improve compared to Season 3. Why? Well, Gunslinger is back boys!!! Gunslinger was out in Season 3 and look how improved offenses became when Gunslinger was a thing in Season 2.

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a unique approach to an article that a lot of you may find interesting. In this article, we are putting overall ratings on players based on how they did in Season 3. Now a lot is to be considered when handing out the overalls. The whole system is backed by players’ statistics for the season. I will break down the criteria.
Foremost, I used my formula from season 2 that helped me with awards. But I did tweak the point values slightly to balance the points scored on defense and offense. I essentially put everyone’s stats in an excel file and multiplied a stat by the point value I associated with. Below is the point value system I used.
Stat | Value |
Passing TD | 6 |
Passing YD | 0.05 |
QB INT | -2 |
Rushing YD | 0.1 |
Rushing TD | 6 |
Fumble | -2 |
REC YD | 0.075 |
REC | 0.3 |
REC TD | 5 |
TFL | 1 |
SACK | 1.75 |
DEF INT | 3 |
DEF TD | 6 |
FF | 2 |
P DEF | 1.5 |
RAC | 0.025 |
SFTY | 1 |
Once the calculation is made, a total point value (TPV) is determined to players starting overall.
The TPV of all players in season 3 ranged from 0 to 476. However, I set a minimum cut-off at 45 TPV.
Next, to determine a player starting overall, I used the criteria below:
TPV | Starting Overall |
400+ | 95 |
350-399 | 93 |
300-349 | 91 |
250-299 | 89 |
200-249 | 87 |
150-199 | 85 |
100-149 | 83 |
50-99 | 81 |
<49 | 79 |
However, winning awards increases players overall. I used the following criteria as a bonus to a player’s FINAL madden overall.
Awards | overall increase |
