Pre Season Power Ranking Part 2 (5-1)

Pre Season Power Ranking Part 2 (5-1)

5. Colts

I do not know much about the users on this team but with that being said i hear there draft went well and they have a very strong madden team one of which is probably one of the strongest teams in the league if they can find a strong medium between balancing taylor skill with a mediocre pass game this team should find success and climb the rankings. On the plus side they have probably the best offensive line of any team this season. Coupled with playing with many mediocre and below average teams this should be a big part of the success of this team. There is nothing stopping this team from being successful other than the user skills. The users can manage there gameplay and produce there is no reason for this team to not be able to compete for a championship

Jonathan Taylor- 94spd 95 BTK

Quinton Nelson- 97 strength 90+ Blck

4. Eagles

This team has veteran players built in to the grain with many players whom have been around these leagues for a long time and have had success in and out of said leagues. That being said those same things are what can bring huge success to team players whom have made names for themselves with consistency. And consistency is something that is needed to remain in the running year in and year out. There are many shining lights though this team that have a historical competitive nature. With aries being able to play around the bored and lead a line by himself. Others like Hutch who is not Talent based but shows up and is consistently mediocre but in this league mediocrity can lead to championships in the right situation. The situation to watch will be can jp aries carry the averageness of the roster.

3. Dolphins

Making there way in at number three the dolphins loaded with top end speed at WR and a strong league roster including Kurow who is a top DL in the league and who was also a player in last seasons superbowl. Dolphins are going to be in a good spot seeing how the Madden teams in this season are definitely lacking at qb and speed this team has a good shot at competing this season. So with madden talent leaning there way. With strong veteran play there are many opportunities for this team to break through. Waddle being the main one with the max speed of a player like this against slow under averaged defenses this should be a consistent problem with two WR coming in at 95 and 97 spd this is going to be an explosive season.

Madden PTW:

Xavien Howard: Pick artist/Acrobat

2. WFT

With consistent top side play from ownership and high picks WFT feels like a easy choice at number 2. The main problem they will likely run into should be there madden QB lacking in throw power this is going to be a hill to overcome. With strong talent on there league roster this should be fun to watch. With all that being said there madden team in a whole may be the one thing that may be able to hold them back. With big talent among the roster the strains of a madden team can be crippling. This is something that i feel we may see alot of this year. We shall see what big talent looks like on underperforming teams which makes this season very interesting. As well as beaste coming back from some skeptical and appalling situation this season is going to be full of not only drama but redemption. Beaste has been constantly a power house among the league. So this is going to be a full filled season while watching this team

1. BENGALS

Having star power with the likes of Abyss, Nate, Realest. This is the team to beat couple these players with with a good offense and strong defensive foundation and one of the best ovr madden teams in the league there is no doubt that this team is suited to remain a frontrunner for the upcoming season. The main reason is more along the lines of user talent than madden talent the madden ovr may be high coming off a Superbowl season. But as madden play the team may be average or slightly above. Due to the mediocre speed based offense and defense and but they are ranked here due to the high user talent wich says alot. Veteran talent that tends to be top end talent year end and year out will most likely remain top end. Baring some out of circumstance situations.

Child as the number 1 pick? Please

Sav and the Steelers decided to open up the season 5 draft with a shocker. I had heard many names thrown around as potential number 1 picks. There were superbowl winning QBs from the Packers, Great WRs, DL players, but all of those were passed upon. Sav Sprinted to the podium, making his pick within about 10 seconds of being on the clock and threw down ChildPlease.

This reporter has a lot of experience with Child from our time together on the Cowboys, where he was my runningback. This is why, while some may be shocked, I actually love the pick. During this time, Child was always instrumental to the play calls. He was like having a second QB in the room. Although occasionally he liked to give defensive linemen free hugs.

Week 4 the plan was for him to take over at QB to give my arm a rest before the playoffs, but we decided against that. The rest was history with an epic playoff collapse by our team.

Last season I thought he was going to be a QB before being forced out of the spot, which i feel was a massive mistake. Child runs a similar offense to mine, but is much smarter with his reads and plays. Rarely making mistakes, he could be a great fit for the steelers team.

The biggest question is whether or not Ben will be fast enough to accommodate the QB wrap, and read option offense child likes so much. My guess is he will have to adjust a fair bit in that regard to change some things up.

Ive slobbed on Child a good amount in this article, but heres the rub. I really, really dont like the overall configuration of these users. Could this team come out to shock everyone? sure. As of right now you have a former MVP hopeful QB playing rb in Breesus. You have two of the league worst chargers QBs filling out the QB room, and you’ve got overall a lot of that chargers roster. I am hoping it works out better than last season or child may be enjoying some Cancun time early this season

Pre Season Power Rankings (Part 1)

Preseason Rankings (10-6)

10. Steelers

This is probably the easiest of all the rankings on this list. it seems like the draft was almost as bad as the steelers. With a weak draft and a weak madden team the season will be looking grim here. We will see from the start of the season that this team will live on the bottom. As the bottom feeding steelers look to scrape wins together there is no one to blame but their owner bottom feeder sir bottomis for this. Putting together by far the worst draft in the league. This seems to be the consensus.  On the plus side there is nowhere to go but up.

Players to watch- TBD

9. Raiders

A strong ownership with mr ohio but seems to be a lacking roster. With a strong madden team i am interested to see them climb the ranks within the season. Mr ohio is a veteran and knows how the inners of the league works and can keep a strong foot in the competitive door. But will be hard to do with a below average draft. Looking forward to see the playthrough here. The defensive play calling is going to be the ones to watch here the offense with an average play caller can be successful with this team.

Players to watch- ohio, Big Ty

8. Falcons

The falcons are a madden team who is a laugh. NO Dline to speak of a noodle arm of a QB no WR. The shining part of the team is at TE although there TE is a light in the darkness. There is going to be alot of struggles to overcome with this team. With a superbowl consistent QB in dirty falcons whom finds himself in a superbowl almost every other year. Myself who is coming back after a long hiatus. This season has a lot to be seen from the falcons. Couple that with a draft that did not go as planned. This season can easily find itself being a flop.

Players to watch- Dirty, Banks, Mccoy

7. Patriots

Shady has been around this league along time and knows the ins and outs here. Has been successful on many occasions but with the roster he has is a bit different than im used to and would like to see what he is capable of he still has a few of his guys with him. That he is used to playing with this team and roster could easily be bumped up on this list a slot or two. With players like tmo this team has potential as long as they are not limited by the patriots mediocrity.

Players to watch- TMO, Shady

6. Saints

The saints have one of the better Olines in the league with strong qb potential in ponchy there is alot of hope with this team. They may climb throughout the season and ponchy is a very confident player who believes he does not need big name talent to win games and from the outset his skill is high so we shall see if playing with the saints he can carry them to a dominate season not that it is out of possibility but can the roster meet the potential.

VFL SEASON 5 – GRADES / STEALS & REACHES

Congratulations to every team and player drafted in yesterday’s Season Five Draft. These are my opinions and critiques of the events that took place.. hopefully you enjoy- H ii G H 🙂

COLTS GRADE = B+

Groff heads into Season 5 with all the hype and all the smoke. Last season’s draft showcased a masterful creation of late round picks and high value snipes, that helped formulate three more than capable lines.

This season we focus on two draft picks. IBPROFAM was the catalyst behind the Packers game 7 SB win, but heavy lies the crown. He was taken 8th in the draft and was the second RB off the board, can he once again step up and live up to the hype???? ABLOODYPSTAIN is a VFL veteran that somehow someway fell to pick 52nd of the draft. With that selection, it puts him at the #18 WR off the board.. If you ask ANYONE, that seems like an awfully silly ranking for a player of his pedigree.

DOLPHINS GRADE = B-

The VFL’s Most Valuable Troll now sets his sights on ownership, but the true test will be usering the Miami Dolphins and their very MID player personal. Ebo is most certainty regarded as one of the league’s top players, but can he truly lead his team to the promise land?

Making that goal a little more challenging will be his two RB selections that are recent QB to RB conversions WOODY and ACCOUNTANT.

THE ACCOUNTANT was a top QB selection in Season 4, unfortunately he was also an intracule part of the Chargers downfall. WOODY is another QB blunder that is attempting to rewrite his script at RB this year.. Can these two get back on track this season with their new team??

EAGLES GRADE = B

WARPATH and ARIES teaming up together with quite possibly the most lethal NFL team this season? What’s not to like here, this is a no brainer folks. Things get interesting when you focus on two of their draft selections here. JPxPRODIGIE will be a good player this season. no one is heavily doubting that. The question is, was he worth the 9th selection/2nd WR off the board status?? It’s important to remember players like PRIMO RE and PSTAIN were selected 50th and 52nd. Next, we focus on their 34th selection KINGJON. This is hands down their best value selection of the draft, especially at RB/DL.

FALCONS GRADE = C-

GAMEGREEN comes into this season a more than determined Owner, with a lot big hopes and dreams. The GM decision of DIRTYFALCONS makes all the sense in the world, but did he fall short with his draft selections??

One selection that will certainly prove to be his best, was his 12th pick BLKSA1YAN. Now if you ranked every RB based on their running capability AND DEFENSIVE ABILITY, BLKSA1YAN might be the number one guy on said list. Unfortunately, from here is where his decision making can be possibly questioned.. Your main example of this would have to be his 17th selection QB MCCOY252. Now can this user win you football games, the answer is yes, kind of. Knowing how tough it is to user a player like Matt Ryan, especially compared to the QB MCCOY played with last season, does this selection provide more headaches or relief?? We shall wait and see!

WFT DRAFT GRADE = B

BEASTE will try and recreate his own version of the iconic Deflate Gate/Suspension of Tom Brady and will his way back into the Championship circle.

Off to a great start, he has combined forces with top players FUEGO and CHAMP. Right away, before even the league’s first game, that trio has put the league on potential notice.

Now we focus on his draft selections: It’s very straight forward, the QB selections of DTMXKOOLAIDZ and UNGLUEDTIGER could be looked at as questionable. Could one of these two become this year’s SACRIFICE (Unknown QB Gem) Late round draft selection?? BEASTE and company sure hope so.

RAIDERS DRAFT GRADE = A-

MR OHIO and DROC come into this season with very little hype, but all the optimism in the world. Last season it was the DROC show at Owner and man oh man was that sort of a blunder. When you wear a suit to your Owner interview, it sets a precedent that proved hard to live up to. Now a GM, will his new suit be a Gatorade covered birthday suit, as his Raiders pull off the improbable??!

Here’s how their draft shook out: Now we all remember the instant classic game 7 Superbowl win of last season. H ii G H coming down with back to back remarkable catches on the last drive to win the title, but do we remember SACRIFICE’S numerous questionable calls and random timeouts?? As the 3rd pick in the draft, there will be a special sense of pressure any player will deal with. Losing Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams and starting fresh with an entire new line, can SAC truly live up to the hype?? Luckily the Saints attached to him another Superbowl winner in EZ BIG TY who was the absolute #1 QB of this seasons draft. Last, but not least: PRIMO RE should prove to be an excellent value selection at 50.

SAINTS DRAFT GRADE = A

The self proclaimed “Jake Paul” of the VFL, LUCKY sets his sights on a rebound season following his complete and utter failure of season 4. The good news is, LUCKY not only possibly won the team selection this season, but also receives our highest draft grade.

We start off with the only possible MEGA reach of his draft and that was his 7th selection of MOCARBONE. QB is tough, especially this draft with bringing back GM’s and Max bids, but I can’t be the only one to question this high selection. Now to the great parts: At selection 10 OUTAKER will always do his job and produce numbers, this could be one of the safest picks of the draft. At selection 37 and 44, you bring in two bonafide prime time players in KWAM3 and REDHOUR. These middle round picks always round out your team and typically add the finishing touches to a dominate line. Last, but not least: Your Season 5 “Mr Irrelevant” selection goes to XX713JACXX. A true drop the mic selection on a very underrated WR user.

STEELERS DRAFT GRADE = C+

SIR BOTTOMIS is switching roles with buddy BEACHMODE and trying his hand at Owner.. but will the switch up actually make a difference and pay off??

BOTTOMIS took a similar page out of BEACHMODE’S draft guide last season and took his friends WAY EARLIER than he should have. Now to be fair, last years winning owner GROFF has basically followed that same formula in back to back seasons, so that strategy can payoff big if you value line chemistry. The two selections were going to focus on here, are a complete night and day difference from each other. With the selection of BEACHMODE at 11, will there be a steep consequence of drafting a friend this early? Mind you, BEACH was a QB for a very talented team in LAC, but finished dead last in almost all statistics ever worth mentioning. Where things get more brighter was with his selection of BREESUSS at 27. Now it’s a little odd not seeing him at QB, but a user of this caliber will make an impact no matter where he lines up, this could end up being the steal of the draft!

PATRIOTS DRAFT GRADE = B+

FEAR comes into this season with some big names attached to his team, but also a lot of question marks.

For the most part his overall draft selections faired well, but taking a WR at the fourth selection and then following up that pick with QB’s like IPLAYERMAKER and IV EZAKIMAK could pose serious issues down the line. Now to possibly ease some of that pain, the selection of FOEMAC could be the exact medicine the doctor ordered.

BENGALS DRAFT GRADE = A+

This will be short and sweet: REALIST and ABYSS have created a team of IRBRADY, NORTHZIDE, NATECASH, DFEET, HUCCI, WHODAT. These are all super known, veteran VFL guys and when you consider they might possibly have the most explosive weapons offensively this season with the Bengals, I feel confident saying every team this season will be very nervous of potentially matching up with these guys in the playoffs.

The Eagles have (crash) landed

Now that the draft has concluded, I was asked for a season preview of the Eagles. Well it may be a season review already, because this shit might be cooked. Led be fearless leader Areis x21, the Eagles are potentially set to make history this season, but lets get into the players first.

Areis seen here after leaving the training facility

Areis and gm Hutch have played together for as long as this writer can remember, which isn’t very long but I digress. A great duo that is always counted on to put up some great stats, yes I can hear farah shouting bum hunting from here, they are going to be relied on to lead this team. Do they put up the monster win totals? More likely they put up a fat old goose egg, and Areis still is in the db of the year talk for some reason. Rounding out this line with King Jon, who I personally feel extremely sorry for, he will be expected to carry these two stat hounds on his back to victory.

Taking the if we can’t beat em, max bid em strategy, Areis max bid GrandpaWarpath. Probably not the smartest move since Areis was once known as saying “I just lost to something called a GrandpaWarpath, my career is over.” They paired him up with JPxProdigie, a man who rarely has had good qbs and im afraid it isnt going to start now. Rounding out this line is Goodfella, who reports are has had to be restrained in the locker room as he is like a horny teenager. Can JP make due with the Eagles menagerie of midget DBs? only time, or myself, will tell. (pst. the answers fuck no!)

Artist rendering of JP trying to tackle the saints mark ingram, normally a diminutive human

Line 3 in all reality is going to have to carry this team. Underrated league veteran Kdot will be harassing qbs and defenses alike as a rb/dl user. As one of the leagues better sack artists last year he should be excellent at getting Cox through the tightest of holes. Sneaking onto the team are Playstation players Slickthumbs (YSK till we die), and iclap. The team will probably miss week one after getting THE clap during our team bonding exercise, but these three guys may shock a few and ruin the 0-36 plan.

No one can predict a season outright, but i am awfully confident that this is a dumpster fire just waiting to be lit on fire, highlight of the season will probably be watching gen chat between Areis and whoever he’s arguing with today.

To Blunk or not to Blunk

That is the question. This writer spoke to the almost Mr. Irrelevant, although he was beating down my door pre draft for an interview, to see how he felt about he draft slot, team, and being the small dog in a qb room with Ebok and Gabe.

Asked for his season goals, Blunkey listed he wanted to “perfect all the pre snap skills like reading defenses, blocking adjustments, etc.” and to “learn to go through my reads correctly.” While Blunkey seems pretty confident in his ability to learn these things. going through reads correctly is a pretty vital QB skill.

https://youtu.be/nc05BxgMVSQ

One thing i learned quickly about Blunkey is that he is definitely a very hard worker as he kept mentioning how hard he wants to work to improve, and how he “wanted to thank his family and friends that supported him through this journey.”

Blunkey did mention being shocked at his draft slot. ” I feel like I deserved to go higher than some of the guys, especially after winning a playoff game, but at the end of the day I’m just glad to be drafted.” Hopefully with all the hard work and preparation we are looking at more of a Dan Marino than a Tua Tagovailoa

Asked about playing with Ebok again for a second season he stated that he is “weird sometimes but at the end of the day thats my brother, thats my dog right there. If he hurt, I’m hurt, if he up im up.” This reporter isn’t quite sure what the hell this means, but we are rolling with it.

Speaking to Ebok, he let me know that he doesnt understand what Blunkey is talking about either, that he is “ass, delusional, and may be traded before week 1 is even over. I had nothing but anger in my heart when i drafted him” Shocked at these harsh words for the new guy i asked what made him think of this. Seething red with rage Ebok told me that Blunkey should “stick to writing songs.”

Go and Run away indeed sir.

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 8, 9, 10/10

*Being that the draft got moved up, my top three teams will share this final post*

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Owner Grof

3rd Ranked Team (Picked 3rd)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 8th

Running Back 2nd

Receiving Core 7th

Offensive Line 1st

Front Seven 5th

Back End 8th

It took no time for the last team to be added in the pool to be taken off the board. Being a running back myself makes this team my favorite pick. Imagine being able to use that BEAST Jonathan Taylor (RB) behind the best offensive line in the league! Although Carson Wentz (QB) is rated pretty low, he’s got nice throw power to sling the ball to some good, not great, speedy receivers. Did I mention they have JONATHAN TAYLOR?

On defense they have a couple of STUDS. Deforest Buckner (DT) is going to be one of the best defensive lineman this year. They also may have the best linebacker in Darius Leonard. Let’s see if they can put that strip specialist to use this season. (Bobby Okereke is also 88SPD and MLB should be a good user) The secondary is OK featuring Xavier Rhodes (80) and Rock Ya-Sin (79). This could very well be one of the teams that gets thrown on this season.

Reigning Super Bowl winning owner Grof is starting off his second season with a great team pick here as he will be looking to repeat. In the draft he needs to find three good running backs who can carry this team on offense. Defensively he needs to get himself a good d-lineman to get pressure with Buckner and a good defensive back to make some plays with an average secondary. Did I mention they have JONATHAN TAYLOR?

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Owner Realest

2nd Ranked Team (Picked 10th)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 1st

Running Back 1st

Receiving Core 2nd

Offensive Line 7th

Front Seven 8th

Back End 4th

What a steal with the last pick of the draft to nab the highest overall team of this season at 86 overall. This team features the best quarterback (Joe Burrow) and running back (Joe Mixon) in the league. (Not sure how Mixon is rated 1 higher than Jonathan Taylor because I’d argue Taylor over Mixon easy) They also have the second highest receiving core featuring offensive Rookie of the Year (WR) Jamarr Chase with a blazing 94 speed. Wide receivers Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are no slouches either. This team should score the most points on offense this season. Their downfall is the bad offensive line.

Their front seven includes (DE) Trey Hendrickson and (DT) DJ Reader. The linebacking group has nothing worth bringing up but they have a strong secondary featuring one of the leagues best safeties Jessie Bates (92 OVR). They also have one of the fastest secondary groups this season. The front seven was one of the factors they aren’t my #1 team.

A few seasons ago the Bengals were picked among some of the NFLs best. They don’t match up well against better teams because of their speed and Burrows wind up. That team still made the playoffs. This draft Realest will be looking to pick up some top tier receiver talent to get open with Jamarr. On defense he will need some good user linebackers to figure out their LB situation. This season against some of the lower NFL rosters should set up this team for greatness. I mean somehow they made it to the Super Bowl and this season I think we will find out why.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Owner Lucky

1st Ranked Team (Picked 1st)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 5th

Running Back 3rd

Receiving Core 8th

Offensive Line 3rd

Front Seven 2nd

Back End 2nd

Finally, we made it guys! Lucky didn’t screw up the 1st overall pick by picking the best team this season! I really like Alvin Kamara (RB) on this team as my favorite receiving back in the league. And what do I like even more? This offensive line where both of the tackles have edge protector. I think that will help aid the decent QB in Jameis Winston (90THP) throw to Kamara and WR Michael Thomas. This team should be able to bully opposing defensive linemen.

These guys are ranked top 2 in both of my categories on defense. Let’s start with superstar Xfactor Cameron Jordan (LE 92OVR) followed by (RE) Marcus Davenport, and (DT) David Onyemata. At linebacker we have the second best player on the roster in Demario Davis (92OVR, Secure Tackler). Their defensive backs keep the show going with Marshon Lattimore (88 OVR 93SPD), Marcus Williams (FS 84OVR), strong safeties Malcom Jenkins (83OVR) and CJ Gardner Johnson (82 OVR 90 SPD), and lastly Bradley Roby (CB 80OVR). This team is stacked on defense, no doubt about it.

The Saints edged out the Bengals for me because of their trenches, where games are won and lost. There’s no doubt in my mind that if Lucky can nail the draft this team will have an opportunity to hoist the Lombardi this season. This team will need strong running backs to help the quarterbacks out. On the other side he needs to go get someone whos going to cause havoc with Cam Jordan on mostly weak offensive lines. There’s nothing better than a well balanced team. I’d rather my team be good at many things than great at one thing.

Season 4 QB Madden Ratings

Time for a twist to the Madden ratings. As all of you are aware, the last article was giving a madden rating on an overall player (the defensive and offensive side of the ball). I ended up getting a file to list everyones positions (pre-draft) from last season. So I figured why not release ratings based on a specific position instead? The draft is tonight and when management needs help deciding on who preformed well last season, they can review these articles.

I’m sorry in advance if I ended up getting a players position wrong. It’s pretty difficult mapping out all the positions accurately.

For the most part, everything is the same in terms of scoring; regular season stats, the point system remains the same, and the TPV slightly changes since were condensing this list by position and not overall. So lets get into it. Summarized bullets are found below.

  • These ratings are based on a players REGULAR season only. Playoffs excluded
  • All ratings are reflected on a players stats for the season
  • These overalls are given from a point based. system (criteria listed below).
  • If a player has a lower than expected overall, there’s a number of factors.
    • did not play a full 12 games of the season (I.E 6 games)
    • Team management did not put in the players stats
  • Bonuses to a player overall are applied as followed:
    • OTY of the respected position (expect owner) – 99
    • 1st team probowl – +2
    • 2nd team probowl – +1
  • In an event where a player won a OTY or MVP, there bonuses for probowl DO NOT add to there overall.

Total Point Value (TPV)

Just like last year, once the calculation is made, a total point value (TPV) is determined to players starting overall. Compared to last years, this season is giving a more precise rating.

The TPV of all players in season 4 ranged from 10 to 517. There isn’t a minimum threshold this season. If a players stat is recorded, its reflected on this article. There are situations where a player switched positions mid-season and i decided not to include them in the article.

Next, to determine a player starting overall, I used the criteria below:

500+95
475-49994
450-47493

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 7/10

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Owner Mr Ohio

4th Ranked Team (Picked 6th)

Positional Ranks
Quarterback 2nd

Running Back 4th

Receiving Core 3rd

Offensive Line 8th

Front Seven 6th

Back End 6th

Da Raiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiders (Chris Berman voice) come in as my 4th ranked team. Some of you newer people may not remember from season one that the “we ball” gang took these same Raiders (well, with WR Henry Ruggs) to the superbowl in season 1. They may not have Ruggs anymore but they replaced him with another speedster Desean Jackson (95 speed). They arguably have the best quarterback in the league (depending on your values, but an accurate passer with 91THP is awesome). The running back solid in Josh Jacobs and they have a decent receiving back in Kenyan Drake. The offensive line could be a problem. The ranks were based off for sure starters but like the Eagles, Richie Incognito isn’t factored into the algorithm. If they can sub him in they climb the ranking abit. It’s funny that the higher my rankings go the more you forget to bring up they even have an Xfactor tight end in Darren Waller. Stud!
Defensively they don’t have any huge name players BUT they have a solid core that with decent users should do fine. Well… aside from linebacker (yikes). Maxx Crosby (LE) and Yannick Ngakoue are good players to have coming off the edge. They also have one of my favorite defensive backs in Casey Hayward (still can’t believe the Packers let him walk years ago, imaging him with Jaire) and the youngster Trayvon Mullen Jr. The safeties aren’t terrible to user either in Abram (92 speed), and Moehrig (90 speed).
Mr Ohio has a good team here and if he has an impressive draft this is going to be a team that could be scary. This might be as close to gun slinger as there is in the league this season. I’d like to see him draft a good running back to try and get the most from Jacobs, especially if they can sub in Incognito at guard. Defensively go and get a pass rusher who can dominate with Crosby. This team was a steal at the 6th pick in the draft.

VFL Top 12 Free Agent QBs

12. xBeachMode

Former owner for 2 seasons, Beach will make a good 3rd line QB for someone this season.

11. DtM x KoolAiDz

Back from a long layoff, dtm was always 1 of the top qbs and players in general in the previous leagues. That type of consistency and madden iq doesn’t just go away. I expect with some labbing and scrims he’ll find his way back to being a top qb very soon.

10. x 9 smyth 4 x

Smyth filled in for the Bills last season and did surprisingly well. Hopefully he can continue to improve and help a team make playoffs.

9. FOExMACC

On the Panthers last season, Mac started rough but finished the season strong with 5 straight wins. He went 0-2 in the playoffs but after a full season under his belt, I can see him being a strong QB for someone.

8. Aceboogs98

Coming off 2 straight Super Bowl losses, Boogs will be in the draft for the first time in 3 seasons. Solid QB and can help a team make the Super Bowl.

7. Xxchildxplease

Has a nice scheme. Gets users involved. Sometimes goes for the big play too much. Does not adjust the line well and needs to work on that. He will get u to the redzone often. Dependable qb.

6. XxMarcdogxx

Marc went 3-0 in the Season 3 playoffs on his way to winning a Super Bowl with the KC Chiefs. After switching to WR for a season, he is back as a top prospect at the QB position. Great game manager and plays above average at LB.

5. xxHucci

Very smart qb, knows how to beat man, cover3, cover 2. Can struggle against the top tier user pass rushers but is actively working to improve. Always looking to lab and get better. A real up and coming qb

4. BeOmniTTV

He is the only QB that beat Abyss’s line last season in the regular season. If Omni continues to improve, he will be a top QB very soon. Doesn’t make a ton of mistakes and that’s all you can ask for.

3. mocarbone

Stepping in for the Bills last season, Mo was doing so well that everyone called him “mocarbeaste”. He’s been around since season 1 but remains under the radar as a good QB.

2. x Sacr1f1ce x

Sac made his return to the VFL last season. He was a good QB in the older maddens and if this last season has any indication, he will continue to be a good QB for whoever drafts him. Super Bowl winning QB with the Packers and had a phenomenal season.

1. Ez Big Ty

Top Free agent QB, Ty. He’s a very smart and safe qb. Knows how to manage the game and gets user involved. He will get you wins and is very knowledgeable. He has proven that he can be a Number 1 Line QB after winning the Super Bowl this past season.

noteable mentions: Highwalker (great player haven’t seen him at QB). Ezakimak (been around a long time, making his QB debut). Redhour (Good RB DL, not the best at QB).

VFL Top 12 Free Agent WRs

12. MeoW Minotaur

Super bowl champion minotaur will more than likely be picked up by Grof again. Not a lot to say, he fits well within that line.

11. JAD

After winning the Super Bowl season 2 with the Browns, JAD is making a return to the league and should be a good pickup for anyone.

10. KWAM3 4 MVP

Fills in wherever and is available for all games. Solid player.

9. Breesuss

A top MVP candidate for 2 straight seasons, breesuss is moving to WR to switch things up a bit. He’s a good madden player so I expect him to be a top WR next season.

8. abloodypstain

bloody fixed his connection which was the only thing holding him back before. He had a good season with the seahawks and is a very good DL.

7. GoodFella Tg

Haden is as chill as they come. Great player and won’t complain for the ball.

6. TLP Kavious

Good at finding holes in zone and beating man. Favorite route is definitely the curl route vs zone. Will work back to a scrambling qb

5. Primo Re

Very smart wr he knows his way on the field. Knows route concepts and underrated blocker. Gets open and doesn’t overlap cpu routes.

4. The Brisket49

Brisket-never complains as a user wr, will give constant feedback to how people are trying to guard him. Man coverage=toast.

3. JPxProdigie

JP has been a top player for a long time. Plays very well on both sides of the ball and is arguably the best DB in the league.

2. Outaker24

One of the best DL in the league every season. Chill dude and does whatever the QB needs. Very good route runner.

1. Xxtmo706xx

Always thinking from the wr spot. Don’t have to give him a lot of instruction, will adjust routes mid play to take advantage of zone depths or the user. One of the best DCs in the league.

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 6/10

WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM

Owner: Beaste

5th Ranked Team (Picked 2nd)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 9th

Running Back 9th

Receiving Core 6th

Offensive Line 5th

Front Seven 4th

Back End 7th

Ryan Fitzpatricks Washington Football Team comes in as my 5th ranked team! This team was an interesting pick taken at 2 this season. The quarterback and runningback are ALMOST the worst. The offensive line is average which should help even out how bad those two positions are, but they have one of my favorite players at receiver in Scary Terry (Mclaurin). Talk about a beast! He reminds me of a young Deandre Hopkins in that he still puts up numbers even with trash quarterbacks.

Defensively these guys have some fun players. Its a very similar team to yesterdays Pittsburgh Steelers. The defensive line features superstar Chase Young, Jonathan Allen, Da’Ron Payne, and Montez Sweat. They even have a third DT in Matthew Ioannidis who’s an 80 OVR! I’m rushing five every play, I don’t care. Looking through the roster I couldn’t find a linebacker worth talking about (Holcomb??). But the secondary has a few bright spots in Kendall Fuller (88OVR) and William Jackson (84). Having Landon Collins (SS) in the box should be fun, too.

This team has some fun talent on both sides of the ball. As much as I don’t like Fitzpatrick I don’t think that Beaste would have chose this team if he didn’t feel like he was alright. He will need to draft two other good quarterbacks to be successful this season. On defense I’m looking, again, for some monster defensive line users. It should be really fun for them getting to the quarterback all season against these weak offensive lines. Could he have traded back and still picked them? I think so. But as owner of the Super Bowl winning Browns in season 2, I won’t question him too much.

Season 4 Madden Ratings

It’s back! After the conclusion to season 4 (Congrats Packers), It’s time to take a look at our season 4 ratings. There have been slight modifications and key assumptions to take into account so ill go ahead and get started.

  • These ratings are based on a players REGULAR season only. Playoffs excluded
  • All ratings are reflected on a players stats for the season
  • These overalls are given from a point based. system (criteria listed below).
  • If a player has a lower than expected overall, there’s a number of factors.
    • The player may have been great on one side of the ball, but not the other
    • did not play a full 12 games of the season (I.E 6 games)
    • Team management did not put in the players stats
  • Bonuses to a player overall are applied as followed:
    • MVP – 99 overall
    • OTY (expect owner) – 98
    • 1st team probowl – +2
    • 2nd team probowl – +1
  • In an event where a player won a OTY or MVP, there bonuses for probowl DO NOT add to there overall.

POINT VALUE SYSTEM

Slight tweaks were made this season to help balance offense and defense points.

  • Receiving stats have been nerfed slightly. This is to prevent WRs from being graded too highly when alot of their stats come from CPU catches and throws not targeted to them.
  • Rushing stats have been buffed slightly.
  • Defense Stat values have almost doubled across the board to balance out point values between OFF and DEF. Last season this was an issue where great defenders were listed low overalls and subpar offensive players were generally alot higher.
Stat Value
Passing TD 6
Passing YD 0.075
QB INT -2
Rushing YD 0.25
Rushing TD 6

REC YD 0.05
REC 0.3
REC TD 5
TFL 2
SACK 3
DEF INT 6
DEF TD 10
FF 4

SFTY 2

Total Point Value (TPV)

Just like last year, once the calculation is made, a total point value (TPV) is determined to players starting overall. Compared to last years, this season is giving a more precise rating.

The TPV of all players in season 4 ranged from 0 to 600. There isn’t a minimum threshold this season. If a players stat is recorded, its reflected on this article.

Next, to determine a player starting overall, I used the criteria below:

12. Fig13

Last season he played WR to help the team, look for Fig to prove his worth as a RB this season.

11. l radio l

A solid player that doesn’t have an ego. Never talks in the chats so he will continue to fly under the radar.

10. Easty Tg

A veteran of the team up community, easty plays for whoever and fills in wherever he is needed.

9. Kdot8932

Kdot has been in the league quietly for a few seasons. He will play whatever the team needs and from what I hear, he’s a good teammate.

8. x KING J0N x

A surprising year for Jon, he performed well but was on one of the less than stellar teams this past season. If John gets drafted to play on a good line, he should have a great season.

7. ClutchxKing215

Clutch was a top RB playing with Beaste for the first few seasons. He stuck around last season without beaste and still had a strong year. A very good DC as well.

6. Ibprofam

Last season, rusty surprised a lot of people. He had a very solid year and capped it off by winning the Super Bowl.

5. getthiswork1018

Willy has been around the VFL for a long time. Seeing him at number 5 isn’t surprising as he is a top DL and can carry the workload at RB.

4. NATECASHMNEY

One of the best RBs that nobody talks about. Nate was apart of the SB winning team season 3 and on the losing end of the SB season 4.

3. NORTHZIDE

After an average season with the Bucs, North looks to regain his former RBoTY status this upcoming season. Solid at DL but at this moment he is signed up at QB.

2. BLKSUP3RSA1YAN

Monster of a DL, BLK, is a top tier RB as well. He’s coming off a Super Bowl championship on a line with Ty and Orlando. I can see BLK winning RBOTY in the right situation.

1. Justt Smoove

Reigning RB of the Year, Smoove has been a top RB since he joined the league. Very good vision and plays great at DB as well. Should be a top 10 selection in the draft this season.

noteable mentions: Highwalker (great player haven’t seen him at QB). Ezakimak (been around a long time, making his QB debut). Redhour (Good RB DL, not the best at QB). King Logic (signed up at RB, good player and DC)

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 5/10

Pittsburgh Steelers

Owner: Sir Bottomis

6th Ranked Team (Picked 7th)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 7th

Running Back 6th

Receiving Core 5th

Offensive Line 9th

Front Seven 1st

Back End 9th

The Pittsburgh Steelers come in at 6th in my rankings today! The offense doesn’t have much to offer aside from superstar wide receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Najee Harris. It will be hard to run the ball with this offensive line. The quarterback isn’t very good either coming in at 74 overall with 85 throw power. Maybe there will be some face catching attempts thrown at wide receiver Chase Claypool (6’4”).

The front seven has the best players you will see in the league this season. A few of the notable players are defensive player of the year TJ Watt (LOLB 96OVR), superstar x-factor Cameron Heyward (RE 94OVR), Stephon Tuitt (LE 86 OVR), Tyson Alualu (DT 82OVR), and Devin Bush (MLB 90 speed). The secondary is arough spot on this team but they do have a really good player in susperstar Minkah Fitzpatrick (FS 89OVR).

This team has a LOT of good players on it. I’m not sure many teams will be able to run the ball on them or even really block this front four. In the draft I think Sir Bottomis should be looking for good quarterbacks who can dink-and-dunk and manage the game. On defense he needs to find some good defensive line users to blow up every play before it begins. He should be able to have a good season as long as he has a good draft!

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 4/10

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Owner: Areis

7th Ranked Team (Picked 5th)

Positional Ranks:

Quarterback 6th

Running Back 8th

Receiving Core 9th

Offensive Line 4th

Front Seven 7th

Back End 5th

The Eagles come in as my 7th ranked team in the draft. This is where things got hard for me with so many teams coming up that I grade close together. One thing I really like on this offense is the offensive line (especially if they are able to sub Brandon Brooks in). Other than that they have an OK running back, a fast but weak armed QB in Jalen Hurts, and some low overall receivers. I think that the offense will thrive off big plays from players like Devonta Smith and Quez Watkins (98 Speed).

On the defensive line you will find two good players in Javon Hargrave, Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox. The secondary also has some good players like superstar Darius Slay and corner Avonte Maddox (93 Speed). There is nothing to talk about at linebacker on this team, but I could see the defensive line causing some issues this year against some fairly weak offensive line play.

The Eagles are really good in the trenches which helps them be a balanced football team. Areis needs to find himself some good receivers in the draft to utilize the speed this team has. On defense the biggest need would be a good user linebacker to figure out what to do on that second level. This team has some game-changing pieces on it that with right draft picks could do some real damage. It’s nice to see another team with a good kick returned in Quez Watkins.

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 3/10

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Owner: Fear Painkiller

8th Ranked Team (Picked 9th)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 4th

Running Back 7th

Receiving Core 4th

Offensive Line 2nd

Front Seven 3rd

Back End 1st

The Patriots being ranked this low may come as a surprise because looking at the positional ranks you might think that this team was a steal in the draft! But then I dug deeper… The offensive line is one of the best in the league. Aside from that they have our second noodle armed quarterback this season in Mac Jones (85 Throw Power). Their running back is below average, but their receiving core looks like it must be really great……..if they run a dual tight end set? There is no speed to be found on this offense.

On defense I’m thinking they will be subbing in Matthew Judon (edge threat) and possibly Dont’a Hightower on the opposite side of him to rush the passer. The other superstar players to look out for are free safety Devin McCourty and cornerback JC Jackson. I’m not sure if they can sub in Jonathan Jones in or not but if they can this will be a LOCKDOWN secondary. I don’t know WHO is going to be the linebacker on the field. We will have to wait and see.

This team reminds me a lot of Season 4’s Los Angeles Rams team. I think it will be a struggle to win with this team if you don’t play perfect on offense. Games will need to be won on defense with this team. When it comes to the draft I think they will need to find some running backs that don’t need ball carrier moves to be successful and to take advantage of that offensive line. On defense they need good defensive line users. If they can make some quarterbacks get rid of the ball before they want to they have the secondary to make them pay.

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 2/10

ATLANTA FALCONS

Owner: Game Green

9th Ranked Team (Picked 7th, but technically 10th because they missed their pick?)

Positional Ranks

Quarterback 3rd

Running Back 5th

Receiving Core 10th

Offensive Line 6th

Front Seven 9th

Back End 10th

The Atlanta Falcons are barely edging out yesterdays Dolphins for the 9th spot in these rankings. The two things I like most about this team on offense are running back Cordarrelle Patterson and tight end Kyle Pitts. I think the two weak spots on offense are the wide receivers and Matt Ryans noodle arm (although he does have OK throwing stats it’s hard to get behind 85 throw power). The offensive line is just average.

Defensively, there are many holes on this team. No position group stands out BUT they do have a few playmakers in: defensive end Grady Jarrett, two 90 speed linebackers in Deion Jones and Foyesade Oluokun, and the highest rated player on their team, cornerback AJ Terrell Jr (87 Overall). Even though their secondary is weak they do have three defensive backs above 92 speed for what that is worth. Like the Dolphins, they also have an awesome kick returner in Cordarrelle Patterson. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some return touchdowns from them as well.

This team has some playmakers on it with the right users. The quarterback won’t wow with deep shots but will be accurate. Aside from Alvin Kamara I think Patterson is the best receiving back in the league. Game Green will have to draft a good receiving back to elevate this offense. Sure, a great user receiver is nice to have, but I’m not sure how much that will help this team. On defense they can get by with some good users in the draft. There’s a good player on each level for users to maximize the defenses potential. It’s too bad that he missed his pick in the team draft but I don’t think it could have worked out much better for him.

SEASON 5 TEAM DRAFT RANKINGS DAY 1/10

Miami Dolphins

Owner: eBoK

10th Ranked Team (Picked 4th)

Positional Ranks:

Quarterback 10th

Running Back 10th

Receiving Core 1st

Offensive Line 10th

Front Seven 10th

Back End 3rd

To kick things off, the Miami Dolphins come in as my 10th ranked team. They have some real bright spots on the team, but a lot of deficiencies. One of the things I really liked about this team is the receiving core featuring Jaylen Waddle (97 Speed), Will Fuller (95 Speed), Devante Parker, and tight end Mike Gesicki. The issues I have with the team starts with the offensive line with a cumulative rating of 68 a crossed the board. They also have worst starting quarterback in Tua with only 86 throw power, and the worst running back in the league in Philip Lindsay. Luckily he is 92 speed with 99 carrying, so maybe he isn’t as bad as his 74 overall suggests.

Defensively there’s only one position group that stands out being the secondary featuring superstar cornerback Xavien Howard. He’s the only superstar on the team. Other notable players in the secondary are Byron Jones and the rookie safety Jevon Holland. What I was struggling to find were playmakers along their below average front seven. Another thing to watch for is Jaylen Waddle on kick returns. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some touchdowns on special teams from him this season.

This team has potential but it is going to need the right pieces. Ebok is going to have his hands full come draft time with perhaps his biggest need being excellent users on defensive line and linebacker to make up for the lack of talent on their front seven. Offensively he’s going to need some users to get sticky at running back and wide receiver….. as well as someone who will be good with Tua….. or Jacoby Brissett? I think this team may have fallen later in the draft and he possibly could have traded back to get a higher pick(s) in the player draft and still have landed them.
